      I actually enjoyed the trailer...

I just hope the fight scenes aren't a blurry mess. Unfortunately, with the CGI look (which I like as well), I am thinking it may be.

Will they do the classic "pan to each turtle to see how they are fairing in the fight" scenes? That's the stuff I always liked to see...it's just hard to capture that with CGI characters...

Looking forward to this though...I don't mind a different take on the series...trying to recreate the other movies would just turn out bad...I don't want to see Eminem on stage rapping "go ninja go" for the sake of nostalgia.

      We'll see what happens!

Has anyone else been watching the show on Nickelodeon? I watched most of the first season with my dad, then everything started up and we couldn't keep up watching things together so we're backed up. I like the show though.

What about Macklemore or Asher Roth.

Asher Roth would kind of be perfect for this, no?

I was actually going to say Asher Roth originally he'd totally do it too....

            What is this rated anyway?

I've been waiting see a TMNT where they actually use their weapons...not Ralph throwing his sai, cutting a rope and have a bunch of rubbish fall on the foot solders like all the other ones...

This whole "ruined my childhood" was overblown with Transformers as well.

I was a huge Transformers, GI Joe, and TMNT fan when I was a kid. Probably saw every episode of each cartoon and I personally enjoyed all of the Transformers movies. The GI Joe's weren't great, but my childhood is still intact.

I'm really looking forward to TMNT. Won't see it in the theater, but will definitely rent it.

I, and no one else complaining about this movie, brought up the comic. The cartoon show and movies were all about getting parents to buy toys. If anyone else cared about the comic at all, they would never claim to love the old cartoon and movies, which are further from the source material than this movie is to that one guy's "childhood".

                  That's awesome as ****.

I've watched a few episodes with my sons and I liked what I saw. I didn't keep up with it though.

As for this movie, I was not looking forward to it at all with the alien origin rumors early on, but that trailer has me looking forward to it. I liked the live action versions from the previous movies but the CGI turtles look pretty good to me.

At the same time, I am very much not a fan of Bay's version of the Transformers so that's helping to temper my enthusiasm a little bit. That origin story is contributing as well but we'll see.

Well yes, however at least in that case the TMNT became the phenomenon it was due to the comic getting the attention of people so that they can kiddify it. BTW that view of hating everything that came after the original comic has shifted greatly over the years what with reprints and the fanbase seeing that there are various iterations of the property. TMNT is actually one of the more pliable media properties as it has seen wildly varying interpretations throughout the years.

One ray of hope for this movie though is that Kevin Eastman has a consultant role in it and he's been in that sort of position with the current IDW comic as an artist and sometimes writer.

Finally was able to see the trailer. It's weird seeing this modernization. TMNT & the early 90s movies are what my mind jumps to. Seeing them brought in to 2014, and there's guns! Oh my God!

I think it'll be fun. I actually probably will see it in the theaters with my brothers.

Turtles look different, but that's it. It's not the same as the old costumes, so what. It's obvious they wanted to beef them up and they did a good job. Can't wait to see this.

The design of the turtles and Shredder's costume are my favorite parts so far.

                            That Shredder mask looks on-point.

And yeah, the Turtles being more modernized and more intimidating is awesome. The hope is that the personalities are all still there.

Why has Krane (?) never been in a movie? Or Rocksteady and Bebop. No idea if I spelled those correctly. I've always been curious as to how they would be portrayed in a movie. Or the big *** thing Shredder lived in.

                                Krang lol.

The closest they got to that type of storyline was the ooze in TMNT 2 movie.

If this movie does okay I could see them going that route in a sequel. I'd love to see Rocksteady and Bebop.
