Meh I like the transformer movies so I'll wait and see before passing judgement.

A movie about human sized, martial artist turtles would be hard to pull off at the best of times for any director.

No way I see a remake with alien turtles. Complete violation.

Nothing beats the 90's cartoons and movies. Plus the new movie won't have songs like this in it.

Late as hell on this, but there's nothing wrong with live action Turtles. The first movie was actually good and that's not even nostalgia talking.

Early 90's music was fine. Every decade of music has it's losers. Like today's Pitbulls of the world.

                    Ughhhhhh......

Can we please just be done with Michael Bay???

Sounds like the eponymous heroes aren't the only characters who've been radically altered from their well-known counterparts in producer Michael Bay's planned Ninja Turtles movie. (Be advised that some SPOILERS follow.)

Latino-Review has a rundown of their problems with the script by by Andre Nemec & Josh Applebaum. Bear in mind, this is just that site's opinion on an unproduced draft, but the changes they cite are fairly substantial ones.
For example, in this version Casey Jones and April O'Neil are 18-year-olds and exes. The villain is one Colonel Schrader. The Foot isn't a ninja clan in this, but rather a black-clad special forces unit led by Schrader (caught on to the similar-sounding name yet?).

                      Col. Schrader? WTF #1

18 year old April O'Neal and Casey Jones? (which I would not be surprised if it's played by Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, BTW.) WTMF #2.

LOL @ PPM. That's quite a detailed description of new age Splinter... You seen the script?

I love TMNT. And it sucks that it's being changed up. But I still wanna see it if it ever happens. Hell, I liked the Mario movie and that was an all-time bad adaptation.

I see they are trying to modernize it. I just don't get why. Ninjas are still cool.

Why does everything have to be military-based now?

...Well, I know why, but it sucks.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
