The premise matters because people are whining like this is an amazing story/universe that Bay is going to ruin. It's a dumb franchise (in a good way) and Bay will make an equally dumb movie that will probably be entertaining.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

      It's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

That alone should tell you the premise shouldn't really matter. Shoot, you could argue that any show that goes from TV/Comic Book and enters the Movie World has a stupid premise.

I hate that Bay is doing because he's ****ing up something that was basically **** up proof in the first place(to those that were fans of the series from Day 1). I mean Ninja Turtles that are really Aliens and they're not Teenagers either, is he really serious with that?

I still just want CMH's plot to be the plot they use. That'll bring me some good entertainment right there. Why you ask?

Honestly, CMH's plot would make this movie the greatest cult film of all time.

          End of story.

Nobody is acting like it's an amazing story/universe. However anytime you make something and change everything about it just to change **** is a problem. Again Batman is a stupid premise considering it isn't at all possible. Does that mean it's okay for someone to make a Batman movie where Bruce Wayne is actually from Mars, and rather than actually have a criminal kill his parents he accidently did it somehow and comes to Earth blaming himself and guilt ridden becomes Batman here with his martian abilities as some sort of mission to redeem himself with someone like Paul Walker or Robert Pattinson playing Bruce or some other starring role in the story? Of course it isn't.

Yeesh, tweak that a tiny bit and you more or less have the Martian Manhunter LOL

If someone did do that I wouldn't constantly complain about it, I'd just ignore the movie and move on.

Well what else am I suppose to do on the internet rather than complain about things. Goodness.

TMNT is a preeeeeettty ****ing stupid premise in the first place. It should have never been anything more than an animated TV show.

Your definition of constantly entertains me. There weren't even any new posts in here since September before I posted the Megan Fox news that came out that day that it was posted. People were speaking their piece about that latest piece of news and then you popped in with this. I don't even know why we have forums to talk about things. It appears to be frowned upon.

Yup, I just don't get why people hold this franchise in such high esteem that they would have high standards for it in the first place.

Because most IP properties that come from comic books are pretty silly when boiled down to the fundamentals of their basis, but that doesn't mean this IP cannot be compelling with its story or characters especially when it has been in the past.
