What's the budget and do you want (have space for...) 5.1 or 7.1?

The usual suspects are Onkyo and Yamaha. However, I'd strongly consider a Denon system. I have Onkyo systems but will be going Denon or Klipsch when I upgrade. This one is $333 shipped:

TV's coming today.. but wont be hooked until friday or saturday. boo!!

need to snag a tilt mount, probably from walmart. sears was out of stock!! i may even take a ride to best buy as well this afternoon.

i may need to get a stand for the rec room set in the next month or so, any recommendations that dont cost an arm and a leg. dtv box, 360, and surround sound receiver is what needs space.

Hey guys, Direct TV will be here today as well as my Panasonic s30 being mounted on the wall.

Question, I have the 2nd s30 up in the man room, can I leave that line going back and forth all day while I'm not up there? Does that count for hours of break in or no?

The one that slides the grayscale across the picture as if it's a screensaver?

Apparently that's okay, but it still won't break in the phosphors evenly if you want the uneven color ranges to pop in as well (getting in your reds, greens, and blues). Most people just recommend break-in slides and I don't see any particular downside to using them.

Break in slides? What are those?

Nvm lol excuse my ignorance. Just a DVD you can run.. Helps break in your first 150 hours safely if you are not watching your set.

It's basically a powerpoint presentation of colored slides. You can download it to a flash drive and run it on the HDTV via the USB port.

Also, while I'm watching the TV's is standard mode ok to use. All settings are set to 50. Or should some be bumped lower?
