Same here. I use to have have a 50 and after having a 65 inch tv there's no way I'd go smaller. If anything I'd go even bigger lol, but 65 is the smallest I'd get now.

FF, that SHARP offers full HDR 10 processing. Along with Quantum Dot Tech and 192 Zones of FALD making it a direct competitor to the big players. Especially at the price point in the article I posted. Not to mention that's not even Hisense flagship 2017 model H10

Now that Vizio has also been brought by LeEco and were not sure what exactly LeEco is doing outside of a couple of sets they are already offering, Hisense is positioning themselves very nicely to gain some market share.

Thanks for this. Wasn't aware Vizio had been bought out.

Ugh, can't believe Hisense is being thrown around so much. You get what you pay for with TV's and most electronics. If you want the best 4K plus HDR experience for gaming, Samsung is the way to go. They have the lowest input lag with the best picture quality. If picture quality is the most important thing to you, go with an OLED. If you can't afford an 8000 or up in Samsung, go with a 6 series Samsung over a Hisense. Being a 4K and having HDR10 doesn't mean the TV is just as good as Samsung, Sony, or LG OLED. To get the full effect of HDR, you need full dynamic range. Only Samsung 8000 series and above have this. Sony 850d and up have it as well. There's more to TV's than resolution and just having HDR.

Uh this thread is filled with many folks who own and enjoy a Hisense TV so to put it bluntly you sound like a bit of an elitist with this post.

That's ok to me. I've always purchased Sony flagships and I've never had any problems with them. Rtings has become one of the best review sites and they rate Hisense panels lower than any TV I would recommend. I'm not saying people won't enjoy a Hisense, Sharp, or any of the lower tier selling TV's. If you never own a TV with the best picture quality options you'll never see it side by side.

I don't think he's trying to be elitist about it but I honestly don't get why he's coming off so incensed about it lol.

There are a lot of people on a budget and for the price the Hisense proved great value at an affordable price for many in this thread. It's no biggie really, to each their own.

Some people don't need a flagship TV. I bought an H8C for my girlfriend who was using my old 42" 720p plasma. The panel is obviously a mid-range TV to my eye, but it looks amazing to her and is 8" bigger. It was $399. There was absolutely no reason for me to spend the extra money on a KS8000.

The H8C is the same or better than every Samsung TV that has a 6 at the beginning on rtings.

Just to weigh in on the H8C debate here. One thing to consider too is that many of us don't just game in one room. I fully intend to purchase a Samsung KS8000 at some point, likely this fall, for my man cave.

But I also game a lot in the living room and my wife and I (ok more me than her LOL) would like an affordable TV that does alright for gaming and will get us some 4K love and the H8C fits that bill.

Honestly, whether you love Samsung or LG or what, all of us should support companies like Hisense. The more competition the better the features and price for us consumers on all tvs, including Samsung, LG and the "flagship" TVs.

I understand where he's coming from, but I think he just worded it incorrectly. You do get what you ay for and I personally wouldn't buy the Hisense. I'm sure the tv is decent and the company is trying to make a name for themselves. Everyone's financial situation is different and that plays an important role in everything. I'd say if you can wait a little bit more to get a better tv i'd do that especially if it's a tv that you will keep for a while.

Well one other thing to consider, it's a lot easier to sell the wife on a $500 tv (that she doesn't even think you really need to begin with) versus a $1700 one that looks exactly the same to her eyes as the old one, lol

I make sure the bills are paid each month but I dont want her getting upset because I spent a lot of money on a TV just like I'm sure she doesnt want me getting upset about her spending a lot of money on some shoes or a purse.

Agree 100% on this. I remember when my wife and I got engaged and we got a joint account together. Biggest mistake IMO. If I took money out the ATM or bought a game or anything with my own money I was getting questioned about it. I killed that real quick and we both got separate accounts after that lol. Since then I just buy whatever I want. Wives will naturally ask you if we really needed that thing we wanted or got especially when you already had one like a tv, but I just laugh it off and still buy it. Again, I think this all depends on your financial situation and always being responsible too. Like you said as long as the mortgage, car and bills are paid there's no reason why your wife should be getting upset or you with her on anything you guys buy....

Both of you benefit from a bigger and badder television. I don't think you'll be wearing her shoes anytime soon, though.
