Look at tablets. iPads and the like are all awesome enough that you don't really need to replace it like you used to. You could probably have a killer 4k HDR tv for years and not need anything else. Obviously early adopters want the latest tech, but I'm talking more normal people.

I'm sure they'll get more OLED and technology like that, but I just don't know what the next big "push" will be towards.
My guess is there will not be any big push until like 5 years from now when it's 8K, don't you agree?

Went and checked out the Samsung KS8500 at the store and it looks great and am thinking about picking it up sometime this year. I bought a HDMI cord a few years ago when the PS4 first came out since I heard people were having problems with the HDMI cord that came with the PS4. So I'm just wondering if I will have to buy a new HDMI cord?

Like I said before, it's out of stock now. You literally can't even find it in the warehouse. If you want the TV, get it now while you still can.

Love my new Sony 43x800d, picture is amazing and have been playing Forza Horizon and been blown away and i really haven't experienced 4k gaming yet. Awaiting Planet Earth 2 to come.

Also great to see the 4k footage I've been taking on my drone, my God, had no idea how great it looks.

I'll hold on getting a ps4 pro since i been on a spending binge (business has been good &#128513.

Yeah...I don't think any updates will be "MUST HAVE OMG" type stuff for a bit. TVs will get better, for sure, but like when we went to HD...going to 1080p, going to 4k, going to HDR. Seems like we're at a limiting point a bit.

FYI, Dell.com is selling the Sony X900e 49" for the same $1098 you see everywhere, which is a $100 reduction. But Dell is throwing in a $250 Dell gift card that expires after 90 days.

I'm just not sure I need anything from Dell for $250, or I would jump one this. Best Buy will not match the gift card.

It looks like only the 49" model gets the gift card. Still tempting. Maybe if I knew when Scorpio was dropping.

You are definitely gonna have to get a HDMI Cable. Monoprice has HDR Premium certified HDMI Cables. Those are what you will need to take FULL advantage of any 4K TV that offers HDR or Dolby Vision.

Update on my Sharp. This TV at the price I purchased it is a steal. Kind of feel like I stole something.

Excellent PQ with FALD. HDR content looks awesome. The Wide Color Gamut makes the colors pop of the screen. Letterbox areas have excellent blacks

Gaming looks great. Don't have equipment to monitor lag time numbers, but I'm seeing and feeling minimal lag.

Is the separation issue on the ks8000 a common problem, thinking about picking one up at sams, i have the ks8500 already. Jus wondering how widespread the problem is/was
