The only 4k broadcast for the NFL is the Thursday night games on Fox if you have FIOS. Not sure if other providers offer it but watching every thursday night game in 4k is beyond amazing compare to the trash that sunday fox games look like

Also ESPN does 4k for the national title game college Football

Fox says it’s 4k but it’s not 4k. It’s a 1080p broadcast that gets up scaled to 4k. They’ve already said it before. It still looks better than a regular Sunday broadcast which is in 720p

Looking for a upgrade TV right now, have a Samsung curve 43". Mostly for movies and next Gen gaming, have the Xbox Series X and will get PS5 eventually. Was thinking about this one.

        Check this out at Amazon
SAMSUNG 55-inch Class QLED Q80T Series - 4K UHD Direct Full Array 12X Quantum HDR 12X Smart TV with Alexa Built-in (QN55Q80TAFXZA, 2020 Model) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084RGZ3P7..._QtMVFb9K803TR

Or looking for any other suggestions, looking to spend 1-1.5k 46"-55"

If Dolby Vision isn't important to you, the Q80 is a good TV. If you need Dolby Vision, then the Sony 900H, or the VIZIO OLED are your next best options

Since no background lighting is needed here, OLED screens are thinner and lighter than comparable LCD panels. OLED devices achieve much higher contrast and at the same time, better image depth.

I want Dolby Vision, ( I want the best picture for my price) will have to be 48-50 as 55 would be a little much, this is for my bedroom. I'm out on VIZIO right now, got one a few years ago and they had to replace it 3 times within a 6 month span for problems they were having.

How are TCL tvs? Heard they were pretty good and compared well if not better to Vizio? I mean I know it's not a big name Samsung, LG but I guy at work said it really shows well and have heard from others. Or this may be a situation if i'm going to do it right pay for the better brand tv

They have quality control issues. I’d just save for a better one.

I have had a few TCL's and have had no problem with them. They have been good values for the price point. While I just upgraded to a Sony 65 X900h, my TCL that is about 2.5 years old has searved me well. I am just moving it to the bedroom and using the Sony with my XSX and PS5

Thanks guess I'm going to have to wait till after Christmas before the Super Bowl for the next big sales on TV's. Really want OLED or QLED with Dolby Vision 48-50.

Why is sharpness turned down so low on LG OLEDs? Shouldn't we want it turned all the way up? Does turning it all the way up have a negative affect?

It’s should be low and depending on the content turn it down to zero. For gaming or any 4k content it should be zero. I believe I keep mine at 10
