Pretty good price with the sale (which ends today) $320 shipped.

My other option is see what comes up on Amazon Prime Day.

There is also a Dell 1440p 144hz G sync that you can get for around that. It goes on sale a lot.

If your running a GeForce I would think about it.

Unfortunately that's a TN panel though, not IPS

Didn’t realize but I was able to run GTA V on pretty much max settings (with very few exceptions) with 4K DSR. God it’s beautiful! Using Visual V and Natural Vision remastered as well! 60+ FPS as well.

I was running 1080p at low settings at 45FPS lol.

Nice man, that’s awesome. Such a beautiful game. With a top of the line system and those mods I can't imagine how great it looks.

I've convinced myself not to rush a monitor purchase, but man the more I research and the more I see the more idk wtf I want lol.

144hz is a must. And I feel like if I stick with the affordable 1080p I'll be doing myself a disservice. Still planning on getting the 1070ti soon after so I feel like I really should get something 1440p at the least.

I've upped my budget a bit with that in mind (need to stay <$400 though). But there are still so many options out there.

I may be going with a TV. As long as you don't need an extremely fast monitor for competitive gaming, you can get 4k on a 40-50" TV and have all the extra room on the screen when not gaming.

The Dell wide 1440 screen may be an option though. I think all functionality you would lose on a TV with supporting 2 PCs connected onscreen.

I’ve read that TN is better for gaming than IPS but of course I know nothing and they could be wrong.

I’m reading TN has lower response time and that’s why it’s better, it just doesn’t have the best viewing angles and color reproduction as IPS.

I'm currently on a Samsung 32" 1080p TV (iused to be my bedroom TV, t's like their only model that goes 1080 at 32"). While I don't have a problem with it necessarily, I know a monitor + DVI or Display Port connection would suit me better with my rig.

I have a 24" Dell as my second monitor that used to be my primary. Quite the jump 24-32" but I actually feel like the 32" is too big and will definitely be going smaller this time around. Consensus seems to be that 27" is the sweet spot for 1440p, but that limits my options further, budget-wise.

I know I want 144hz, <5ms, 24-27" and like a broken record, 1080p vs 1440p is the kicker. I'm already an indecisive SOB, having all these options is certainly not helping.

Gaming, yeah TN panels used to be better because of the response time but IPS panels now have fast response time and are just better all around, except they are usually a little more expensive is all..

I see IPS fastest is 4ms. TN Panel is 1ms. So there isn’t much difference in those times? And by little, you mean $200+ more haha.

So I'm not really a monitor guy. I have a Xbox One X and Pro, would it be worth it to build a 4k gaming cpu? budget is around 2k. I will most likely be running this on an LG Oled in PC Mode.

PC is absoutley worth every penny. However, idk if I’d just run it only on a TV, personal preference though.

2K on a build will allow you to build a very nice system if you’re not budgeting in monitor costs.

Not much of a difference but the 1440p IPS is beautiful. I had that Dell once and returned because of the TN. Had it along side of my 60hz IPS and it was night and day.

4K gaming on PC isn't worth it at the moment.
