This might end up being my next case. I like my HTPC case but this case is so badass for what it is.

      Note, these aren't my pics....

Yeah that is nice, I wouldn't mind having something like that myself.

I love computers that look like a car chassis w/ pipes.

I know this isn't necessarily a laptop thread, but wondered if anyone had an opinion on this buy made through Newegg for my daughter's upcoming senior year in h.s.

            http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834257315

            $450 shipped.

I am looking into getting a gaming pc, but so far I have found this locally. The computer could be upgraded for cheaper than store bought. Do you guys think it would be worth it to buy this with some upgrades if in not building my own?

I would bet that you could find something at newegg or tigerdirect that you could build with better specs than that.

Never mind. Talked to my tech guy at work and he said that with all inclusive and it being a touch screen, this was a steal!

$450 definitely looks like a pretty dang good deal.

Guys recently my CPU has been restarting for no reason now. It be fine then boom, it restarts. It then says my CPU wasn't shut down properly and I have to hit enter to proceed.

Any time I see that randomly start, power and cooling are 2 of the first places to look. Rarely will software just suddenly start causing your computer to fail like that these days.

Can anyone recommend a good budget notebook for my Mom?

We've been Mac users for years, but she recently spilled Coke all over her less than a year old Air () and killed the logic board. That part itself would cost around $700, so she's dead set on just getting a Windows notebook to replace it.

Is there anything out there that's close to an Air when it comes to size/weight/portability and performance? I'm sure there is, but I don't know where to look.
