I'm using one of these as a second monitor, was my primary for a long time.

I figure a good 1440p monitor is what I would want to get when I get a GTX1070 . Right now im gaming on an ASUS 1080p monitor but am not quite read to jump to a 4k monitor right now. I am waiting for the price to come down slightly.PSN: ckarlic

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
It's not stupid if it works, and it does work, how much depends on how well your case is cooled, but it does work. Ducting all that hot air directly out of your case will lower ambient case temps, it's how OEMs got around putting more than just the PSU fan in a PC (especially the Pentium II/III era where that daughter board meant you could strap giant heatsink fins to it).Comment

Im stashing some money away to upgrade my PC. I need a new motherboard, bigger case and better cooling. Im also guessing ill need a bigger harddrive and maybe a upgrade in the graphics department as well.

Congratulations, you found something from 13 years ago that would be silly in a current PC. What do you want, a pat on the back?
BTW, here is the actual review from which you leeched the image. Not only is it not garbage, the reviewer thinks it's worth the $45. http://www.dansdata.com/badong.htmComment

Isn't your computer fairly new? Why upgrade the mobo/CPU so soon? Seems like you could just upgrade to a 480 or a 1070/80 depeding on the budget and be good again for a while.Comment

Motherboard I went cheap on and been having problems woth my PC for a while. Im figuring getting a bigger case with more cooling, new MB and bigger harddrive would help it out.

I don't need them, I could go in my basement and take a pic of the hard plastic version of the same idea from my circa 1998 Gateway if you like.

I'm not getting defensive, you were the one who had to try and do some stupid quip back when all I said was "if it's stupid and works, then it's not stupid". You can try and spin this back on me, but you obviously had no idea about this thing and tried to make a ******* joke, then got all defensive when I said it wasn't stupid.Comment
