The bottom half of it reminds me of Halo's Master Chief helmet in the dark. Also reminds me of Dead Space.Comment

So, they are coming out with a Titan Ultra in October. Going to be like the other Titan, only this time ALL the Cuda cores will be unlocked in the card. GTX 790 coming out in October as well. Both will be around $1,000.
Didn't realize the I7 4930K and I7 4960X came out already.
I7 4930K - $575
I7 4960x - $1,000Comment

I really gotta know, who in the blue hell would pay $2000+ just for the video card and processor? People who are nostalgic about 80's PC prices? By the time all is said and done, you'd easily spend $3000, if not more, to play some games. I mean, the combo sounds great to me from a numerical programming perspective, but I would be in the minority that actually used it for that.Comment

Regular people, if they spending that much is just doing it for bragging rights.Comment

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
I got a 680 in my PC which is great and will run most games on the highest settings at 1080P. The big difference does come with those modeling programs. My wife is in her last semester of engineering and she refuses to use school computers because of the vast performance difference that she gets with my PC.Comment

I am kind of thinking of moving my setup into an ITX build. ITX is so nice and compact that I would just need a case and a new mobo.Comment

Depending on how long you may want to wait to upgrade... Since form factor is a big thing for you (and it actually will be for my next build as well) you may want to wait and see about pricing and all that jazz on the steam boxes.Last edited by ubernoob; 10-18-2013, 03:42 PM.badComment

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
I'm waiting for gddr4 RAM supported motherboards to drop sometime next year before upgrading..currently using a 1366 i7 (ancient) on the x58 chipset (miserable). This will also get me away from the ****ty marvell sata controller i have on my current board.
It shouldn't be super expensive to upgrade since I'll only need a board/cpu/ram..might spring for a better case as my current one has horrible wire management options.Comment

If I stay with mATX, I'll probably go with a Silverstone SG09/10 since its one of the smaller mATX cases. If I do go mITX, I'll go for that Node 304.Comment
