Neat is a good word... lol - I Agent Venom was okay, Guardians of the Galaxy Venom was worse.

He did. There is a lot of Venom stories in 90's that hold their own without Spider-man.

After Batman, Venom is my favorite character. However, by Venom I mean Eddie Brock and in order to create Venom you need Parker\Spider-man. That is the foundation behind the two characters (Brock and the symbiote). Unless the movie begins after the events of the creation of Venom.

The funny thing is people mentioned Life is the prequel to Venom. lol

Yeah that's the only thin I could think of, to the first point

And yeah, I liked "Life" a lot but the Venom theory is ridiculous. No idea how that started

Edit: I wrote this to literally say that I had no clue where the rumor started. I didn't hear the rumor until after I had seen Life. I wasn't trying to fault people for believing the rumor. I honestly didn't know where it came from.

For the record, this isn't a spoiler. Venom has absolutely nothing to do with Life and you can tell that just by watching the trailer. Nothing to do with that movie. When you see it, you will understand further

With a movie like Venom, especially since it's rated R, I don't think a story is needed to show how Venom became who he is. Those going to the movies for this movie already know I assume. I'm fine with a Venom movie with no Spider-man with it just starting as Eddie and Venom.

I am all for a Carnage cameo at end to lead to a prequel.

However, the trailer for Life is exactly how it started - since it recycled a scene from Spider-Man 3.

The writers of Life also didn't deny that the two are connected, instead saying "It's an interesting theory," which didn't help the rumors.

Venom has about 150 issues of his own comics. #150 comes out later this year.

                Re: Spider-Man: Homecoming

Venom has his own series in the comics so I'm certain they have the stories to draw from to have a Sony Pictures Marvel universe. My issue is that Venom is a pretty big Spider-Man villain who's very origin is tied directly to both Peter Parker and Spider-Man. You've gone to Disney and allowed them to fix Spider-Man for you with what's shaping up to be the character done right in the MCU. So why in the hell would you then turn around and make the kind of stupid decision that made the Disney deal possible in the first place? If you want to have Venom be the start of your own little universe, why wouldn't you run him through a Spidey movie first and at least have him connected to Spider-Man? It's just terrible decision making imo

Peter's friend (not sure of the character name) seems like he's gonna be some nice comic relief in the film. At first I was worried this trailer maybe showed too much but something tells me it's gonna have a lot of fun moments and surprises for us when it hits theaters. Can't wait

His name in the movie is Ned. But he has a LOT of similarities to Miles Morales' best friend Ganke.

Really cannot wait for this movie. Got a good feeling it's gonna be the best Spidey movie yet.
