Even if you have the slightest inclination of having a defective console, I would recommend sending it in. Better safe than sorry IMO. It won't cost you one red cent either. Mine worked flawlessly for two weeks, than POOF! Strike while the iron is hot and while you're still under the 90 day manufacturer's warrenty. Then, of course, get the MS 2 year extended warrenty for 60 bones. It'll save you a lotta dough, because if I had to guess, this won't be the last time I send my console out. As I've stated before, I'm not bashing MS or the 360. I really think it's a great machine with a lot of potential and has the legs to make a good run. I'm just not convinced yet that MS has ironed out all the machine's problems yet. In time, I think it'll be great.

Well, I'm gonna hold off one more day and class MS tommorrow. After all, today is the "recognized" holiday for a lot of places of business. Hopefully they will have good news for me. If I can get my console back by this weekend I'd be in heaven. Fingers crossed. Wish me luck fellas.

Fellas, I gotta tell ya, I'm getting at my wits end. I called up this morning and was, of course, promptly put on hold for 15 minutes. When I finally was transferred to a supervisor (due to the rep being totally clueless) I was told me repair order was still "pending" and they couldn't locate my console. She said she would call me back later, which she never did. I just got off the phone with them and talked to another supervisor (after nearly 20 minutes on hold). He told me that they indeed have my console and due to the 7-10 day repair and processing (my console got there on 12/19/05) that Jan 2nd (next Monday) would be the very latest I would be getting it back. He said that if I didn't get it back by then to call them. Great. Like I said, I've been trying to exercise some patience through this whole ordeal. It was hard enough just getting this damn thing shipped out as I had to call in an order for a box THREE TIMES before they finally shipped me out one. Never even sent me a return label with the empty box, so I had to pay the 17 dollars for shipping. All that being said, all my anger and frustration will go away if I have a working console on my dooorstep by next Monday. Sorry for the rant, just needed a place to vent (bitch). Just frustrated right now, that's all. Now, if you'll excuse me, it's Miller time.

Yup. I'll drink to that. I've been following your threads GIGGAS, and I feel your pain. Hopefully you can get your hands on a console soon, and hopefully it's a WORKING console. This is the last, and I do mean the VERY LAST time I buy a console at launch. I never wanna go through this again. It ain't worth it.

Well, another day has passed with no 360 delivered. Thursday and Friday will be key. If it's not here by the weekend, then I highly doubt I'll be seeing it on Monday. There is gonna be hell to pay if that ends up being the case. I don't care if I have to go down there armed to the teeth, one way or another I'm getting my 360 back.

Out of curiosity, for the people who have received their system back from MS, do they give an explanation of why the system failed and what was fixed or do they say here you go, you are back in action. I am just curious what is failing in the console.

Stuff like that bothers me, even if I do not know what they are actually saying if they gave a reason, I am the type of person that has to know.
