Yep, and I think that's 150,000 less than what MS had last year.

I thought the 360 launch only had 300,000 units available that day.

For the people here that don't have one preordered and plan on just going to the store to pick one up. How long before the store opens do you plan on going. I was hoping to get there noon on Thursday at Best Buy.

I could be wrong, but I was almost positive that Sony has less than MS had last year.

If you check the sales from launch until the end of Nov., 326,000 units sold. Sony will have more but not by much. Still way too few for a launch debut.

Do you guys think the allocation for the systems will be a lot like they were for 360? My Best Buy had 72 360's, so Im hoping its somewhat similar to that launch.

sony reps said their 400,000 consoles for the US launch will be more than what the 360 launched with on day one. The ps2 launched with 500,000 consoles on day one. So they're not that bad off.

Pre-orders are available for a December 14th shipment of PS3s @ ecost.com

They have the 60GB for $999.99 (ouch) and 20 GB for $699.99 (ouch), BUT there is also a bundle for $999.99 featuring a 60GB model and 4 games. The games are:

Need For Speed: Carbon
Tony Hawk's Project 8
Call of Duty 3
Madden NFL 07

No clue why the 60 gig bundle is the same price as the stand-alone 60GB model.

From AVS, to IGN and several users of the PS3 as a Blu-Ray player are blown away. Decode over at AVS, states that the PS3 visuals are better than samsungs $1200.00 player. I know all of this is subjective, but I think we can let that gimp blu-ray player talk fall by the way side.

From AVS, to IGN and several users of the PS3 as a Blu-Ray player are blown away. Decode over at AVS, states that the PS3 visuals are better than samsungs $1200.00 player. I know all of this is subjective, but I think we can let that gimp blu-ray player talk fall by the way side.

I read many publications months ago that thought the PS3's Blu Ray player would be the best one the market at time of release due to the heavy testing put on it from the games being tested. So I can't say I'm surprised.

even if I ever got a PS3, I would never play movies on it, ever syste I owned I never used for a dvd player, so I'm sure this is good news for some, but there are a lot of people out there like me and don't use there gaming system for there movies.

That's what they built the PS3 for...it's MORE than gaming system bro. Y'all can say what you want about the price, but if it can out perform Samsung's $1,200 player...AND not to mention have NEXT GEN GAMING...it's WELL worth the money imo

I hear ya, but like I said I never played DVD on any of my gaming systems. I never will, thats just me.
