Good *******!! How do you know when you're finished with the Fighters Guild quest, when they dont give you any more missions?

How in the bloody hell did you find time to do all that? How many hours have you put in so far?

As in restarting in the prison, yes. I wanted a full thief for Dark Brotherhood, and a Fighter hybrid for main/fighter's guild/arena. The mage's guild missions are my full mage, etc. I don't know, I'm more interested in making a character that would actually be in each of those guilds, rather than one guy who can be a contracted assassin one night and savior of the world the next.

After investing 54 hours already into the game, I can't justify starting over, lol. I probably could do it, and I most likely will after I beat the game with my current character... I've only done the first 2 parts of the Main quest though... so I've got plenty of things left to do with this character, lol.

This is the only game thats been able to hold my intention for any amount of time... and to think, I hated Morrowind. I just can't seem to get enough of this game though. This is what made me keep my 360 (although coming up in a few months, I'll have to take a hiatus from it for 5 months)...
oh, my thief's a badass in the right situation...am I gonna run up to 3 warrors and dagger them to death? not necessarily...but with my bow and select dagger use I'm pretty lethal. I just like trying new things, and going all spell on my thief just isn't in character.

Well, they make you Master of the Fighter's Guild and then you get a cut of their earnings each week. Same with the Dark Brotherhood, etc.

And I've logged 80 hours-ish. Plus or minus a few (more than likely on the plus side).

any advice on the major skills of a mage? I want to be really magic centric, but don't wanna gimp my char. Do I need some sort of hand to hand/blade/blunt type thing (as well as armor) as a main skill, or can I just load up on the 7 magic types?

I've done all magic types except conjuration, and then I chose blade/block (but no armor). I haven't run into much of a problem yet, since I have ranged and "touch" magic. Most of the touch destruction spells finish them off before I have to swing a blade. I'm not sure I've even swung it once yet and I've earned 4 recommendations so far.

Oh, and how do you up the Restoration, Alteration, Mysticism, etc. attributes? I can do spells and such, but I'm finding it rather difficult to up them so I can do the major stuff right now.

Do I need to go and practice magic and stuff, or just use my current stuff quite often until I finally level up?

I love poisoning my Dwarven bow with a freshly made potion from freshly picked ingredients, then sniping someone in the head. As they try to figure out what happened, I nail them with another arrow, and if they have anything left, they get finished off with my Dwarven dagger. So much fun.

Does it look like you have a lot more side quest to do? Or does it look like you've just about killed everything and did every mission so far? Do you think you can possibly do 100 hours more worth of work? Like the reported 200 hours that the devs said.

I know you dont use quick travel so 80 hours for just about everything seems kinda short. LOL.

No, on my fighter I used quick travel nonstop...blew through it. That was Arena/Fighter's Guild/Main Quest. Then I decided, with my thief, not to do any. The entire Dark Brotherhood was hoofing it, and the Dark Brotherhood alone took me as much time as the other three combined. I know it was 30-something for the first 3 and then easily 30 for the Dark Brotherhood once they start sending you all over hell and back...and jumping in random dungeons, etc.

I can see playing this for twice as long as I've played it already, yeah. I haven't even done a lot of the random exploration things yet. The dungeon dives I've performed have generally been "oh look a ruin" on the way to my next quest objective.

fish, does mixing your own ingredients make your alteration, etc skills go up? I'm assuming it would.

Alteration? No. Alchemy? Yes. I specialized in alchemy so I could mix my own potions.

It makes your Alchemy skill go up. WHat I do and what I've always done is after I have a house. (You must buy one now or your stuff will disappear) Leave all of your alcehmy equippment there along with your ingrediants. Collect all the plants flowers, etc and when ever you stop home, go mixing crazy. Its the best way to do it so you can keep of the weight traveling around with all that extra eqippment.

What increases alteration, etc? That's what I need so I can use some of my spells. Some of the more powerful. I know the main Attribute that governs it is Willpower or Intelligence I think... So I guess I just need to "up" those categories huh? Will the subcategories follow suit?
