      Re: Mass Effect Discussion

I was already in love with the game's music, but after hearing the tune that plays on the Normandy after Vermire, I had to go out and get (read: download) the soundtrack. Great music.

The difficulty has definitely subsided considerably from where it was at the beginning but that was expected, especially since i had the completionist acheivement, specialization class and the spectre weapons before i did vermire. I'm 43 (!) hours in just after Vermire, with all sidequests done so far ...

Okay, I have a question. I'm confused about weapon ratings and such. I have Wrex on my team now, on the squad rating, I leveled up his assault rifle about 5 levels to open up the shotgun. When I go to the equipment part, his accuracy rating for the assault rifle is still at 1%. I don't understand this, can someone explain it to me?

That's the accuracy rating of the assault rifle itself. You need to upgrade his weapons, the better the weapon the better it's accuracy. Some weapons sacrifice accuracy for power and some, power for accuracy. Then there are those that find the happy median.

Where can I get weapons for my team? Whenever I pick up weapons it seems I can only equip them for myself.

You press the left or right triggers to switch between your teammates.

Just finished my first playthrough... man, thats how a game should end. Look forward to playing it again on the new difficulty level and making different choices and seeing how the end changes

Am I the only one that sometimes feels like I'm hurting the story by doing side quests?

I get this one guy asking me about getting his wife's body returned home and at the same time I should be talking to the Citadel council about Saren.

I do sometimes, but I outweigh the feeling remembering that the sooner I do the main quest the sooner the game will be over. (I hate doing side quests with a character after I've beaten the main quest)

I just discovered while playing last night that in the galaxy map when you move the cursor over asteroid belts sometimes there are asteroids you can survey.

Yup, they're kind of hard to see but sometimes you'll notice a little flash of light.

Anytime I see an asteroid belt I just run the cursor over the entire thing a couple times. Then I don't have to squint on my SDTV to see it

I feel like I'm enhancing the story by doing the side quests, a lot of them add texture to the main story by giving you a more in dept perspective on the Mass Effect Universe.

I'm 25 hours in, and I can tell I still have a lot left to do.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
