"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
See, I'm worried that Mass Effect will kill mine. Not sure if it's because of the duration of time I've spent playing it or the game just has a lot of stuff to load up and it struggled with it. I just beat the game yesterday for the 1st time and it was making some weird noises last night that I'd never heard it make when I was playing CH2k8. It was having a helluva time navigating between team rosters. I'm honestly expecting the thing to die. I still want to go through Mass Effect a couple of more times but this 360 might not be able to handle it, which is sad. I know these last two weeks have been the most I've used it since I bought it last fall. Lots of 4-5 hr marathons.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
KOTOR killed my old Xbox at the time. Mass Effect is definitely making my 360 work. It sounds like the drive is constantly spinning the disc heavy. I guess Bioware makes games that have to load a lot off the disc so it works the drive really hard. That's not a good thing on this POS hardware MS pumped out.
Luckily, I have the Best Buy replacement plan, so I'm not worried about it. If it kills it, I just take the trip to Best Buy and get another one.Comment

What's odd is that CoD4 makes my new Xbox Arcade sound a lot louder than Mass Effect does...I got mine with the Best Buy plan, so not worried, but just find it odd.KOTOR killed my old Xbox at the time. Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Finished the game a little while ago. Mass Effect is all sorts of awesome. Now I'm going to play through it again, but as a female. I don't really feel like doing a new+ game with the same character.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Go to the map and there are points marked on the map of debris, anomalies, and buildings. You can press A on one of those points and the cursor on the mini map will show you where to go.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Sweet. My party: Liara, Sheppard(infiltrator) and Wrex
Round 1: Singularity, Sabotage, Carnage/Overkill
Round 2: Lift, Overload, Immunity
Round 3: Barrier, Marksman/Assassination(range relative), Shield Boost
At this point, they are usually dead and haven't gotten an attack off, but if there are stragglers, I'll keep the defense up and use Throw with Liara to keep them off of the offensive. Using this method, I've got a loooong way to go before I get that 150 First Aid achievement, lol.
I have a 'house-rule' that doesn't allow me to control my team-mates powers, but if I ever changed that, I'll probably put together a combination of attacks similar to yours.
Since I only control my characters abilities, I usually hit organic foes with Nueral Shock (which incapacitates them and inflicts them with a toxin), and synthetic foes with Sabotage (messes up their weapons). From there it's just a matter of using Stasis on the most dangerous foe and throwing and lifting everyone else!
I found that same rifle while fighting on Feros.
I didn't keep it though because I was weary about replacing a rifle that has three upgrade slots for one that has none, but you say the accuracy makes up for it? If I find another one I might give it a go...
