I have had no issues with the new guitar and I think it is the best guitar on tthe market. I love the new star power button and the larger whammy bar. I did not get a chance to try out the drums yet but will be doing that as soon as I get home from work in case they are defective. you would think after the trouble RB had with its instruments there would be some better quality control

Which system did you get this for? It seems like everything for the Wii works fine from what I have been reading. I am still intrigued by the new guitar, but there has been reports of issues so I don't know what to do. LOL!

I have the 360 version with no problems. Guitar feels great.

Activision is larger than EA, and has more money to throw around to the few franchises they actually care about.

Not to dispute you, but as of the end of FY 2007 (most recent info I could find), EA was the seventh-largest software company in the world, with Activision coming in at 14th. EA had double the revenue of Activision as well.

That may be out of date, but my impression is that EA has a far greater reach as a company over the video game industry than Activision does.

Didn't even realize that.

Even still, according to Wikipedia, EA drew over $1B more in revenue than Acti-Blizzard in 2008.

Just tried out my drum set and that works perfectly too. So all my instruments are fine. It is going to take a while to get use to this set after playing rock band but I already know i will like it. All around a satisfied customer

Played Hotel California, Band on the Run, and a few other songs over the weekend at my cousin's house. Now that I played the songs that I wanted, I can feel better about passing on the game.

I have posted some images and impressions of the new guitar on my site.

If there is one thing that I dislike, it is that they incorporated the touch sensitive portion in the wrong way making it difficult to use. Other than that negative, I really like this new guitar.

I need to try this with Rock Band 2 tomorrow night to see how well it works.

On another note I think they picked a bad Muse song. I'm not a big Muse fan so I don't know a lot but I'm sure they could've did better than that,it's one of the few that haven't been fun to play. I know Starlight and Time is Running Out at least they would've been better. I love Stockholm Syndrome but that was used already.

Yes, there is a start/back button + now there is a star power button too. I circled the three.

To me, this guitar feels almost as the best of the new RB2 guitar and the Les Paul combined together. The touch sensitive part though as I keep on saying is a waste right now, unless they figure out a better way on how to incorporate it. I would say they should just copy Rock Band with the lower fret buttons and use it the same way. If you can't beat them, you join them.

I like my Nyko guitars for RB, but if you find this one works good with RB, I might pick it up whenever I do get GHWT.
