Those dudes are some crazy musicians.
Instrumedley - that would be fun.

It'd be fun to see Harmonix do an "epic" pack of songs. Of course, it'd be maybe two of them, but real nerve testers and would make people insane to do them on hard or (God help you) expert.

Dream Theater - A Change of Seasons (23 minutes long)

    or Octavarium (24 minutes)

    Rush - 2112 (20 minutes)

If they would add a bunch of country songs, I might buy the thing finally. I'm not impressed by the selection thus far.

I must say - I find it funny how many people will say "absolutely not" to country, yet will download No Doubt's songs.

I'm the other way...I have absolutely zero interest in ever having a No Doubt song on my game...so I'm not attacking anyone, just find it funny how different people's music tastes could be.

I'm still petitioning for some RX Bandits and Minus the Bear in Rock Band, though.

I just listened to the country samples and the only one I'm buying is the Brooks & Dunn one. Now if they put "What Was I Thinking" by Dierks Bentley, I'd be all over it.

Oh, and on the country pack...I'll probably get the first three and skip out on the others. Would've preferred a Chesney and/or an Urban song...but the selection isn't that bad.

I'm glad to see country DLC coming into the game. I don't know the Dixie Chicks song but I like the other four songs and will be buying all of them. Miranda Lambert has become one of my favorites of the new batch of country artists and Gunpowder & Lead should be a fun song to play.

I'm a pretty big country music fan and admittedly I'm a bit disappointed with the music selection. I think they definitely could have found bigger and better sounding songs than the ones they selected, especially given this is the first debut of country songs on RB. I'll still probably purchase at least one of the songs, but I hope the quality improves greatly.

yeah, they got the big name artists but not the big name songs that I thought they'd have.

I wonder why they didn't choose "Start a Band" for Brad Paisley/Keith Urban. That would seem to be a perfect song.

Great post! Have you played Prequel to the Sequel? They shortened it, and it's heavier than DT, but it's got some great musicianship. But great post. Couldn't agree more. Octavarium would have to have the keyboard intro cut.

I also nominate the Odyssey from Symphony X.

I was thinking that same thing yesterday while driving listening to the song. I wonder if there is something written in the policy that they can't include newer songs.

Octavarium would be great. Even without the keyboard intro, it still clocks in at well over 18 minutes.

With all the complaints about Jaaaiiiillllllbreak I don't see it happening.

I really would've liked Beer for my Horses by Toby Keith & Willie Nelson with the country stuff if they couldn't get anything classic. I don't even really like country (some older stuff) and think that song is awesome. I was hoping for Johnny Cash and...uhh...I forget his name but I know his most famous (or one of at least) song is El Paso.
