Anyone else getting really pixelated units with the latest nvida graphic cards even on high settings? Somethings wrong with the drivers and this game I think.

Using 1600x1050 w/ nvidia 9600GT DDR3 version. Other games look great. This one, kinda bunk.

The newest nvidea drivers are wreaking havoc. You have to download an older version.

...Just biding my time. So glad I didn't plop money down on a new rig to get frustrated.

I couldn't be happier with the way the game plays and performs on my machine (which is a budget gaming pc). I don't have an nvidea, so I'm lucky there, but I haven't run into any problems. The install was smooth and quick, the patch d/l and install was seemless, and playability has been great. The game has been an A+ for me so far.

What are your specs again? And what settings are you playing it on?

I'm playing everything on High, except I took grass off cause its ugly. I'm not getting any stuttering on the campaign map like I've seen people complain about. Knock on wood...I haven't had a single problem.

We'll see how it goes once people are really far into their game. Both Rome and Medieval always started out with smooth campaign maps, but really stuttered with the more territory you take over. Even with a hefty rig.

Intel Core 2 Duo 3.00 ghz.
2.00 GB ram (really high powered stuff though) 800 mhz i think (cant remember speed off top of head)
                  Geforce 8800 GTX (768 mb)
                  Vista 32 bit.

The game handles everything fine, sometimes weather causes a slight slowdown for a couple seconds, then it figures it out and it is fine.

I don't have the graphics problem, however my game is prone to crashing. It happens every so often during a battle, and it isn't because my comp is maxed out, it is actually running VERY smooth, but rather it just "stops working".

I've just about won the war of independence. Everything was going really smooth, then the Iroquois betrayed me... not happy. All without French aid. Hard difficulty.

The AI has gotten a little better. I've had some really close battles when forces are evenly matched, but I killed Howe very early so I am facing scrub generals. If the enemy had experienced troops or a good general, they could have won those battles.

I'm running the game at 1900x1200 with everything on Ultra except I did turn off anti-aliasing and it runs great, the only slight choppiness is when I do scrolling like I click on a unit that's on the other side of the map and even then it's not too bad. Here are my specs:

                    INTEL, Core™ 2 Quad Q6600 Quad-Core, 2.4GHz
                    Vista Home Premium 32 bit
                    OCZ, 4GB (2 x 2GB) Gold GX XTC PC2-6400 DDR2 800MHz
                    eVGA, GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked, 626MHz, 896MB GDDR3
                    150GB WD Raptor®, SATA 150MB/s, 10000 RPM, 16MB cache

I bumped everything up to medium on my laptop and it handles it fine (no chugging or slowness on maps or battles). Looks good for me.

This might sound like a total noob question but how does everyone move their units around? I've been experimenting with the Shift-Click waypoint method and Alt-Clicking to keep my formations intact.

If you group(Little group units box)and select all of your units after you have set up the formation you want you can click Right mouse and hold it to adjust your position somewhere else on the map, it stays locked. I hope that makes sense.

I use it to move long distances but to keep the formation I chose from the start.Or it's good to turn your army slightly or to use when things get all hectic and you want your units to form up and not be scattered about.
This is a must for online..lol you can spot people who just click and point their mass of soldiers from a mile away or when they have their army facing the wrong way and they are trying to adjust each unit individually lol...too late.

Works for your whole army or just a couple cav.

What's the way to assign a group of armies to a number (or whatever)...I vaguely remember being able to do this and then hit "1" so that group was 1 and it'd be way easier to get to separate groups (missile, guns, whatever).

Only had time to play the tutorials last night. Will get some time in this weekend though. My old machine can do pretty well on Medium, but that's it. Looks pretty good though.
