If you want to torture yourself for another day or so read this campaign from a CA guy playing as Prussia.
I have overstretched and cannot resupply this far out. My generals have no clear route for reinforcments and canont call for any. Both my field armies are eventually surrounded outside Vienna itself. Three massive Austrian armies are ready to attack me in the next turn. With these armies wiped out they will advance unopposed into my capital, giving me nothing to hold them back with.
The battle is long and hard.
The Austrians kill hundreds of my men with a well times barrage of cannon fire as they march, followed by rifleman hidden in the trees. By the time my men are in position I know I needed to recruit artillery of my own and some more cavalry. But it is too late.
Despite a spirited battle my men are tired, worried and in poor shape. An Austrian cannon volley follwed by a raking line of fire from irregularsl forces their breaking point, they flee.
I shout in rage as they run from the field, knowing this leaves my southern flank open and my capital lightly defended.
The next turn I prepare for the worst, recruiting poor militia units and irregulars as they are fast and cheap in a last minute attempt to hold back the Austrian invasion that will swell up from Vienna.
Then it happens.
A massive Polish Army, backed by Russians appears out of the fog of war and lays siege to Vienna. More than twenty brigades are stationed in the Austrian capital and the combined Russian Polish force annihilate them utterly.

Yes, the long load times were due to the demo, which had barely any optimization since it was based off of an old build. Besides the long load times, it was only using one of my CPU cores, so I'm expecting better performance with the full game. I've read the full game load times are still considered long for a PC game, but not nearly as bad as the demo.

"Not wonderment," he said when asked if he was surprising even himself with his hot hand in Virginia's 108-87 victory against Gonzaga on Wednesday night, when he scored a career-best 37 points. "I was just wondering why they didn't play more `D."Comment

You would miss out on all the patches released over steam if you did this. TW games have always needed a bit of fixing up after release too. In fact, there is supposed to be a patch released on the 4th.

It seems there was some confusion before for release dates. They've now said retail boxes will be able to activate on the 3rd, and downloaders from steam on the 4th. Also there is no pre loading.
Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Yeah, it's pretty odd....Steam people lose out on half a day, but I see why they'd want retail boxes to be able to play off the bat. I dunno, just a weird situation.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
