I thought it was a term before WoW, but WoW is certainly where it gained its huge popularity. Why? I don't know.

I've had two freezes already where I had to completely shut off the ps3 Once when it was loading as I was going back outside from a room, and the other time was at the pause menu.

On another note, how the hell do I clear off a destination I set on my map? It's annoying and I cant figure out how to get it off of there.

Also, on the :side mission" of forging a iron dagger for Algor or whatever his name is...I forged one and gave him the dagger but didn't "complete" the mission. What did I miss?

I'm a Nord, named my guy Sheamus after some thinking...and yes, Sheamus like the WWE wrestler lol

To clear the light blue map marker, hit X anywhere in a blank space on the map. you'll get the option to set new marker, not set, or remove.

I think after you forge the dagger he asks you to make something else, so your "mission" isn't over yet.

I ****ing suck at this game.

I keep dying. Bitches murder me.

Any tips on combat? All I have now is a sword. I literally just started. I'm still a Level 1. I normally just charge at the person and flail at them like a ****** with my sword. That can't be right.

While that's not likely to get you far later on, I found just tapping the attack button works well in the early going. Don't hold it down unless you know that the attack will kill your opponent, and don't try it with more than one enemy engaging you. Your stamina (green bar) will take a big hit when you do powerful attacks, and when it bottoms out your attacks will do far less damage. In Oblivion you could kind of get away with lots of power attacks consecutively, but not in Skyrim.

Also, play to your character's strength - that's good advice no matter what class you are. If you're wearing heavy armor you can probably stay up in melee range and just hack away, but if you're in light or no armor (hopefully at least light if you're wielding a sword) you're going to want to dance in and out of the enemy's attack range so you don't get hurt too badly.

            ....Oh, and use your shield.

That helps a lot. I know I've been holding that button down trying for one big killshot instead of tapping it and doing work with lighter attacks.

And other than slowing me down when I run, I didn't know that green bar affected my attack strength.

I'm completely new to this. Didn't play Oblivion.

Yeah, that's him. Such a "fun" character.

Hit the invisible chest in Dawnstar for some early loot. For those starting a new game, I believe you can do up to the early quest, "Dragon Rising", and dragons will spawn, letting you roam the land.

Ok what's the scoop on the Golden Claw mission? I'm stuck lol...Just a hint without telling me exactly what to do if possible, and of course use the spoiler tag. Thanks for anyone who can help, I'm loving the challenge but don't want to get frustrated if I'm stuck in an area for hours going nowhere lol.

This is way beyond me but some of you might find this interesting.

We've talked endlessly about how amazingly massive the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is, but do you need more evidence? Alright. Skyrim is so big that it has its own crackpot, tinfoil-hat-level, end-of-days conspiracy theorists!

I kind of like the puzzles. Wish they would incorporate a few more. Nothing overly complex, but a few wouldn't be bad. I think it would work well in the dwarven type ruins.

                                +1

I would hate just being able to walk through all dungeons without no real thought provoking challenge of some sort. Just got to level 22 with my Argonian thief, not touched the main story yet really, just completed the "Unrelenting Force" shout though. Got full Elven light armor, dual wield Elven sword and dagger and a Glass bow. Not bad.
