I picked the game back up after a little break. I'm having fun doing mundane things again. I really do love the Rouge Archer archetype. Its so much fun to wipe out camps without being seen, and the adrenaline rush that happens when you are spotted and/or run into that boss that can not be one or two shot.

I am going to become a Thane of every one of the holds, finish up the Thieves Guild quests, and then probably move onto the Civil War. I find myself doing better when I am focused on specific objectives and quest lines than running around trying to do everything.

Came across my first dragon tonight (well, besides the first one early one when you have a lot of help, and another that I saw flying around and never swooped down) and killed it. Didn't think I'd have a chance, only being lvl 10. But I had a scroll that did 75 pts of fire damage, and that seemed to help a lot.

To be honest, I always found the early game dragons the easiest.

God. The level 50 dragons can be bad if you don't have the right enchantments.

I am so so so lucky I always carry around 300 pounds of potions.

Anyone know when the ps3 patch will drop? I've got an archer type character that I am holding off starting properly until the kill cams for arrows are patched in and the wait is killing me.

Nice. I made a Nord warrior with that name back in Oblivion.

I have a question for you guys: Am I better off using a 22 dmg sword and 24 dmg axe (dual wield) that both take 10 points of frost dmg to health/stamina, or sticking with my unenchanted 24 dmg sword and 30 dmg axe?

I started over yesterday (I decided I'd rather be an Orc in heavy armor), and am already enjoying this playthrough more. I didn't go straight to the greybeards this time, and am going through the Companions questline (which is awesome). 8 hours into this playthrough, I'm up to lvl 13 already (I was only lvl 13 in 12 hours on the old char). I'm taking stuff down so quickly, and I found the flame word of power, and then ran into a random dragon to be able to unlock it, and that power is awesome for me so far. I throw that at someone, and they die, period.

Are you going two handed, dual wield or sword-n-board? I played a heavy armor wearing orc up til about level 14-15 or so. I wanted to go one handed axe while wielding magic with the off hand. Destruction was pretty weak though and I couldn't really get into it.

Dual Wield. Since there is no blocking, the heavy armor is helping me stay alive more.

This may sound dumb, but how on earth do you install mods on the pc? I tried downloading Armed to the Teeth and Glowing Ore Veins and following the instructions they give you, but I guess I just don't get it. I got the Nexus Mod Manager, and used that, but it doesn't do anything in game.

there's an "activate" feature in Mod Manager. I "think" if you pull up mod manager, and double click the mod, it will activate it in game. It's the most user friendly modding game that I've had. I haven't gotten it installed on the M17x yet though.

Yeah, if you're using NMM, it's really simple. Click on the green "Download with Manager" button, and after it's finished downloading in NMM, double click on it to activate it.

Re: Armed to the Teeth. I don't know if the vanilla weapons have been added by default, but last time I used it, you had to go in the Creation Kit and configure your set up there. It's not something I'd use for a leveling character because you'll be changing weapons often and you'll have to reconfigure it every time.
