I am still on my very first character. His name is Moses. A High Elf Destruction Mage. He also has one handed weapon skills when needed and is a master alchemist.

The best advice I can give you is there no wrong way to play this marvelous RPG. The world is what you make of it. Take your time, enjoy all the different faction quest lines, and most of all be adventurous.

I can't tell how many times while on a long journey across the land on horseback, I run into little side adventures and exploration.

I am still not finished with the main quest line and I am 270 hours in. I can tell you if you go down the path of magic the College of Winterhold should be your first journey once you level up a little and can defend yourself with some degree of competence.

I went that route then did the thieves guild quest line and I am now doing the Dark Brotherhood. I have yet to DL all the DLC.

Along with the Mass Effect series this is my favorite non sports title ever.

Thanks Armor, the reply is much appreciated. So far, I think I am setting myself up for a stealth/thief kind of character. I like to keep things low key, so it should be right up my alley. I'm going to try and get good with a bow, so I can have a go to weapon when things get bad.

Definitely going to be taking everything in. I just got to Riverrun and have been exploring every nook and cranny. Loving it so far.

What's the deal with the downloadable game that I can get for around $20 on eBay? Are there any drawbacks to purchasing this way?

You can get all of the DLC on greenmangaming.com for 50% off right now. Total comes to 22.47 I believe.

Those would probably be downloadable codes that come with the system now.

Every time Dragonborn is on sale, I miss it. Missed it here too.

Skyrim Nexus is the bomb-diggity. There is a friend of mine at work who was looking over my shoulder one day and was like WTF is that? I told him about mods and what not. He almost literally cried (he's only a console owner).

Kind of late to respond but I have been busy, but thanks i watched it. I never watched it before I just figured it wasn't needed . One question i do have is do you think its okay to clean the master files/other mod ESP's already into a game? I have spent a lot of time on my new guy i don't want to mess anything up and have to start over or damage my save.

Do not touch the Skyrim esm. The update esm and all the other DLCs need to be cleaned, so clean them first. If you have any questions about cleaning each, shoot me a PM.

Does setting it to Ultra automatically set a lot of that stuff for you?

Also I got a pretty good list of mods:
                              2k hd texture pack
                              Horses behavior
                              Build a house
                              Armor
                              Swords
                              Crafting/forging recipes
                              Increased character customization
                              Realistic eyes
                              No jagged faces
                              Birds add on
                              Insects add on
                              Real wild life behavior
                              Better looking woman/men of Skyrim
                              Run indoors when dragons attack
                              Better combat
                              Lanterns
Better looking animal races (Argonian, etc)

I want to get deadly dragons and war zones but unsure about them. Any reviews of them from people on here.

Also any other recommendations for mods I don't have? Any skill system tweaks as well? Also was wondering if you can get say increased water texture, realistic snow, etc on top of the 2k texture pack.

Can't wait to start this thing from the PC perspective.

Some scripts tend to crash skyrim randomly for me...go here and read up on the POST tab....he lists some mods that are a no no...War Zones is one of those mods that he has blacklisted..
