    Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Space for mods with the Skyrim Special Edition on Xbox One has been increased to 5GB (Fallout 4 was 2GB).

1GB on PS4, as well as being very limited because of no external assets.

I only uses a texture mod and a sky mod on PC so I'm ok with the mod situation. Mainly looking forward to replaying the game in my downtime. My game time is soon to be greatly reduced so I'm picking 1 (Skyrim) to play for the foreseeable future..

Picking it up 10/28 for PS4.

I am very much looking forward to starting a brand new character. I am almost finished with the main story on the PS3 and in the final mission of the Dark Brotherhood. Going to finish that up this week before the release of the remaster (270 hours of playing time since 2013 when it came out).

My PS3 play through I am a High Elf Destruction Mage with proficiency in Bow's and one handed weapons as well. Alchemy and enchantment.

For this new play through I am going to be a Blood Elf taking the thief, archer, dagger route. Alchemy as well as illusion and healing magic with a hint of destruction.

Can't wait. I also never did any of the DL expansions so that will be cool to have as well.
            Now Playing on PS5:
            CFB 26 Hurricanes/Fresno State Year 2
            MLB The Show 25 - 2025 Yankees Year 1
MLB The Show 25 1985 Yankees Year 1
            Oblivion Remaster

              Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

A few good mods are starting to show up for Xbox One.

              I've used these on PC:

              • Alternate Start - Live Another Life - This is a mod I couldn't imagine playing Skyrim without, especially if it's not your first time playing. This allows you to skip the boring and long intro sequence. Choose another life from over a dozen choices that are well integrated.

              • The Forgotten City - A lore-friendly time traveling murder mystery. This is one of the better quest mods.

              • No snow under the roof - Simple immersion mod that removes and distributes snow more realistically under roofs. Also, adds 3D snow to roofs and things like statues. You will be surprised just how big of difference it makes.

              • Point The Way - Another immersion mod that simply adds road signs to many intersections in the world. This one is on PS4 too, as it just uses assets from the game.

The following two mods are bigger immersion changers.
              • Frostfall - This makes weather matter by adding several survival based mechanics. You can customize the settings too.

I will post more recommendations as more mods get added.

Mods that are good for Skyrim are complete overhaul ones like Requiem and Enderal. Don't know if these will be playable on consoles though. Doubt it.

I'm really looking forward to digging into this game again. Even though I have 100 hrs in PC version I never got the DLC etc..
With my ADD I'm surprised I got that far into the game. Says a lot about the game really.

I seem to always go with a fighter/warrior...

I may finally switch that up...

Sky, that's what I've done to keep things fresh. Never rolled magic, always melee but my most recent (2+ years ago) play was a Mage just to switch it up.

I'm curious as to how different/better the remaster will be on PC. One out of the box, two compared to what mods/shaders can already do and, three they're hooking it up for free....we shall see.

By 2018 I hope to have a new rig built. For 2016-2017 I focused on consoles.
My gaming laptop has been great the past 4ish years but it's gotten to point of no longer hitting recommended settings.
So 2018 will be the year of PC for me. Not just for new games but the laptop won't live forever and I have waaaay to many Steam games to just say goodbye lol

Don't expect to many if any reviews before release day. Bethesda has restated their policy that they ship out review copies to arrive the day before release.

Not that I expected it to, but it's disappointing that last gen saves don't transfer to the re-release.
