I thought this thread would be much more active with the release of the game. I am waiting till Friday to pick it up. Thoughts on the game so far? I enjoyed the last far cry for ps4 but just didn't find time to finish it but I also love the setting of this game.

For me, I am tired of Ubisoft's open world games. Not to say they are not good but it is the same rinse and repeat cycle for Far Cry IMO. That is why I am waiting for a good sale.

I loved AC and Far Cry games in the past but the annual release is just too much.

I think a lot of us game on the weekends so probably much more commentary after the weekend hits..I love the game but haven't spent much time, hoping to play all night tomorrow

Played about 3 hours yesterday, and really enjoyed it. I like the change of pace from FC3 and FC4.

If you enjoy Far Cry at all, you should enjoy this game, but I get the fact others are burnt out on Far Cry.

Some cool things

1: After killing a couple guys, I look down at my iPad the hear a crunch. I look up to see my Sabretooth tiger carrying one of the guys in his mouth

2: I heard a loud animal on the around the ridge, so I sneak through the brush and see two huge Elk going at it. Just banging away.

I wasn't sure about getting this game because of the FC burnout, but the more I pal this game the more fun I'm having.


Update: Just told my cat to go after one of the elk, he jumps on its back to bring it down, then quickly grabs it by the throat to finish it off.

Reading all the impressions has me hyped to start playing the game. Finally finished Dying Light: The Following enhanced edition and come Saturday, I'll finally start Primal as it's been sitting here since I picked it up on Tuesday.

Far Cry Primal and The Division will definitely keep me busy for March. It's a Ubisoft month for me. LOL.

So I got another 4 hours in last night and holy, holy cow this game is awesome! The terrain is what impresses me most, it's very horizontal, up and down, peaks and valleys, nothing like I've seen in a video game aside from maybe Skryim. It even does it better than Skyrim though.

And the lighting, well the lighting blows me away!

Funny story, that snake bit me...I frantically clubbed it with my torch club. Killed the snake but caught the brush on fire, catching me on fire...had to jump in the lake to escape all of it and then an alligator came after me....thankfully I got out of the water in time though...lol..only to be trampled by a woolly mammoth to death...

If I am ever to get this game...have never played a Far Cry game before and I am little cash strapped right now with a decent sized backlog of games. It will be because of ODogg and this post right here.

LOL, well if it means anything I played Far Cry 3 for a bit and it didn't really suck me in. Never played Far Cry 4. This game really has sucked me in, it's really something different, a breath of fresh, primal air

Played for an hour.

I can already say....best Far Cry game ever. Simply amazing. Gorgeous engine, really awesome environments, wildlife.

It's the Beast Master and 10,000 BC rolled into one. Fantastic game. Between this, The Witcher III and soon The Show 16.....I am set till Madden 17.

played about 30 minutes so far so good. Probably won't play much till next weekend and ill give my impressions. Megadeath concert on Sunday is going to take up my normal gaming day.

So I saw an Eagle pick up something, try to fly away with it and drop it and so I thought i'd investigate. It was a dead bore that the Eagle dropped I'm staying away from nature.

I know this is probably a dumb question, but you guys that go the digital download route, what happens if your PS4 shuts down and you have to buy a new one? Do you just LOSE all of the games you purchased from the PlayStation Store? I really don't know.
