I know this is probably a dumb question, but you guys that go the digital download route, what happens if your PS4 shuts down and you have to buy a new one? Do you just LOSE all of the games you purchased from the PlayStation Store? I really don't know.

How are the outposts/camps in this game? I think that's my biggest wonder is how the limited weapons affects strategy for taking over camps and outposts.

So far nothing super difficult but then again I haven't ran across an outpost with a ton of guys. Being stealthy and sneaking in the brush is a big help.

Thanks, man. That's pretty cool, then. I download most of my sports games because I usually get the next ones and don't worry about if I lose the older ones or not. It's definitely convenient not to have to swap out disks. Knowing this may change how I get games from now on. I'll be buying Primal for sure at some point.

Really loving how this is total survival early on. Very intense. Just a spear, club and bow and basic healing.

I can't wait to tame animals. I am making my way to my first settlement/camp to take over in the mission "Deep Wounds".

Just amazing. The sounds of the wild alone freak me out as I hide in the brush whenever I can and sneak through the land while I am so low level and weak.

The landscape is just amazing.

That's probably the best part. you really do have to be tactical in the environment. It's kinda scary at times especially at night. I can tell you have an animal by your side helps.

I do my best to stay away from night creeping. The minute I hear a growl or human screaming because he is being eaten alive it just freaks me out.

Game is a sleeper.

Started Primal today and played for over five hours. The atmosphere, sound effects and hearing the animals especially at night is amazing. Gorgeous looking game. Definitely a lot slower paced than previous Far Cry games but that's a good thing. A lot of hunting and exploration.

The melee combat isn't good but not bad either. Yeah, you'll wish it was better and more advanced but considering the time era, it makes sense that it's not and just pretty basic. Love the bow and arrow. Spears are excellent as well especially in melee combat.

Ended those five hours getting the ability to tame animals with the first being the eagle. Didn't like the "hallucination" aspect when doing this mission and is something that I didn't like in Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4. While I haven't used the animals yet, im going to assume that they will make the game easier and make you overpowered in a way. Will have to see how that goes.

Another thing that im not a fan of is "hunter vision" or whatever it's called and wish games in general would stop doing this especially when at times it's required to be used. This is the one "feature" that I hated last gen and this gen. Really wish developers would stop adding this into every one of their games. Whether it's this or in AC or Witcher or Batman, really wish this gameplay element would die out or at the very least, not be required at all and have an on/off option (24 on/off options for everything in Primal except this).

With all of that said, im still enjoying the game thus far and im happy that the majority who have played the game have enjoyed it.

Played for an hour.

I can already say....best Far Cry game ever. Simply amazing. Gorgeous engine, really awesome environments, wildlife.

It's the Beast Master and 10,000 BC rolled into one. Fantastic game. Between this, The Witcher III and soon The Show 16.....I am set till Madden 17.

Played another three hours and some tidbits....

1. There's a problem with the game keeping track of my playing time. I'm at around 6 hours but I know for sure that im closer to 8 1/2.

2. Played and completed two of those Legend of the Mammoth missions and my goodness, they're beyond horrible and the controls suck. It's almost like a different studio developed these missions. Thankfully they're short and only three of them.

3. Completed the second "hallucination" and seriously, I don't like these at all. Hated them in Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4 and here is no exception. Really wish Ubisoft would eliminate this crap in the franchise period. Series would be better without them.

4. Tamed the second animal which I won't mention since some could see it as a spoiler but man, was that fun and brutal....however, I can see this being a cheap way through the game. After a few minutes of the animal killing a few enemies, I dismissed it and went back to playing solo which is really how this game is meant to be played in my opinion. It feels so much better and more satisfying to complete whatever you do by yourself.

5. Is anyone else having a problem with the "enemy detection" and "hit detection"? I have both off and that detection meter still appears. It's annoying the hell out of me.

I know it sounds like im complaining but one of the complaints is for Far Cry in general. Rest just seem like observations. Definitely playing through the entire game 100%. And best of all, no multi-player, no co-op and no online play. Yay me!!!

This is something I was real worried about. I don't like any types of vision, eagle eye, animal help, etc.

Got it when I said I wouldn't. I wanted to support devs making large single player games. Loving it so far. Great to see a game in this era. And the graphics. Wow
