How far do you have to get in to be able to tame different beasts? I tamed a wolf and owl but can't seem to tame this bear. It just laughs and mauls me to death.

Re: Far Cry Primal (Feb. 2016)
Here's a gif of a headshot I got last night when playing. I thought it was pretty neat looking, figured I'd share. I apparently don't know how to get a gif to show on here though, so I'll just give the link.

Re: Far Cry Primal (Feb. 2016)
I'm 50% through with over 30 hours into the game (even though I think that it's more) and thus far, im not tired of it at all. Granted, im working three days straight so I'll have a little break until Sunday but I actually want to keep playing the game. Add in The Division coming out Tuesday and I definitely want to keep playing Primal so I can 100% the game by then. Doubt I'll accomplish that by Tuesday.
The animal taming doesn't interest me at all. I'll use the owl sometimes to mark enemies at the outposts but otherwise, it just doesn't interest me. I like it being where all the animals are the predators as opposed to being my buddies. Good idea and implemented well but just not for me.
One thing I wish they did was being able to set your weapon on fire without holding L1/LB to bring up the weapon wheel. Don't see why they couldn't map it to the square/X button. Thus far, Primal is definitely hitting my 9/10 mark but in fairness, I love Far Cry as it's my favorite first person franchise.Comment

Re: Far Cry Primal (Feb. 2016)
I haven't had a problem with snakes yet. I always hear them when I get within 20 feet of them, but the rhinos are no joke. Usually I can hear something like a bear charging, but I've had rhinos just silently come and truck me and kill me with ease.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Speaking of which I've been getting a lot of surprise attacks by Jaguars. I've figured out that there is some strategy to which if any animal you tame. If you have a sabertooth tiger no one but Mammoths generally mess with you but if you have anything less you could still be in trouble. I saw a pack of does chase off my jaguar but thankfully it hung tough and slayed the pack. Also, lots of surprise animals (and surprises in general) as the came continues through and you discover new areas. Haven't seen the alligator someone mentioned earlier but I did find some piranha like fish.Comment

Re: Far Cry Primal (Feb. 2016)
This game is great. I never played 3 much, got decently far in 4, but I'm having a blast with this and can't see myself putting it down until I complete it. I may not get 100%, but I'll do just about everything. I just like it that much. I'll try and go back for 3 and 4, but I just feel the style of game play Far Cry goes for fits this era so much better which is a big part of why I'm enjoying it so much.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
