    I kind of did last weekend. I didn't order any pizza or anything. I didn't go to fast food. I did make some beef stroganoff in my slow cooker. The frozen kind that's loaded with sodium, carbs and calories. I added a bunch of fresh, whole mushrooms to it to try to make it a little healthier.

    I am trying to change my ordering pizza or going out to twice a month instead of every week. And for now on the weekends i'm not ordering in or getting takeout then I'm going to have something "bad" like the Beef Stroganoff with the requirement that it's something I fix at home. Then eventually my goal is to eliminate that altogether and just have the non-pizza Saturdays be regular days.

    I'm actually starting to crave healthier foods now. Last night I really wanted a good salad so I made one up. I mean who the hell craves a salad, LOL.

        Crap looks like no more diet soda or crystal light for me.

        This really is frustrating. I drink 5-7 bottles of water per day. And usually at dinner I will have a can of Diet Dr. Pepper and on the weekends will have a couple more cans of Diet Dr. Pepper. For lunch I usually use a packet of lemonade crystal light that I pour into my water bottle.

        I need some taste other then water. I love water and always have water on me but I do crave a pop or flavor a lot of the time.

        I don't like Tea either so it looks like that is no good. I might have to invest in a blender and just stick to making smoothies and drinking water.

        At least I can say I'm much better then I was a year ago where I was drinking 2-4 cans of regular pop per day plus more on some days and eating fast food everyday and sometimes twice per day.

          I'd eat pizza three times a week if I could, lol. I don't get tired of it because every shop makes it different. And since I live in Columbus there are a ton of great pizza shops because Columbus is a fat city that loves its pizza. I used to order a large, then it became medium and since February I now get a small or individual.

          I get it from Masseys (voted #1 best pizza in Columbus for 5 years), Donatos, Rufinos (local italian place) and a new place called Romeos (they've won a bunch of awards too).

          Other things I've done thats helped in this regards, tips I've picked up on healthy eating sites is:

          1. always get thin crust - less calories. This isn't an issue as I always ordered thin crust before anyways.
          2. always get maximum amount of vegetables. Again, I did this before anyways when I couldn't care less about health.
          3. don't get pepperoni or sausage or bacon, etc, if you must have meat get chicken or ham. This is a slight issue as I used to always get pepperoni and sausage. Then I whittled it down to pepperoni. And starting in February I quit pepperoni and started getting ham. I will not get chicken on my pizza because I eat chicken throughout the week and to me chicken on pizza is just wrong unless it's bbq chicken pizza and that's not what i'm into.
          4. do NOT get extra cheese - this one's been really difficult but i've finally overcome this..
          5. get a salad or eat some vegetables/fruit after you order and drink a glass of water - this is not something i used to do but I've been doing it for a while and it does help control the amount you eat when the pizza arrives.

          My only real issue now is when I have company over and they always want meats and extra cheese. So if that happens I usually get a couple of mediums and get one their way and one my way. I'm not going to lie and say I may not have a slice of the "bad" way but I try to keep it to one slice.

            Yea I understand man. I love Pizza too. Anytime I go to another city I need to find the best Pizza. I love Pizza and I think I eat too much. Which is probably 2 times a month

            1. Man I will not get thin crust. You aren't experiencing the greatness of a pizza polar if you get thin crust.
            2. I usually only get one topping which is Pepperoni. That way I am fairly judging any place I go.
            3. I don't get extra cheese
            4. I usualyl drink a lot of water after any bad meal just so I can feel like I flushed it out

              libently, you may want to try the weaning method instead of cold turkey. it's less healthy of course but possibly will help you more so you don't feel deprived. I wean myself off of stuff all the time, as you can see from my above pizza post. it's pretty effective. I like to think of the frog in boiling water analogy, LOL.

                    An alternative is brew your own tea and add stevia to it. You don't need all of that acid running through your bones from diet soda.

                    If I need a sweet drink, I just make a smoothie honestly. Or make some tea and I still don't sweeten my tea.

                    I'm just kidding. But I'm seriously not brewing up my own tea everytime I want something besides water. That's a sad way to live my life.

                                I can see both sides of the argument. To me the "everything is bad for you, so I eat/drink what I want" mentality is nothing more than a justification for bad habits.

                                But on the other side of the coin I think you can have pretty much anything in moderation. If you're drinking water 95% of the time but have a soda a couple times a week, it's not going to kill you.
