Nice work guys! Prepare for soreness Will!

I did 1 hour of low intensity cardio this morning (treadmill walking). Gotta take it slow with these damn old man knee's and calves.

They can be... I bought mine at a demonstration at a local Costco, paid 394.99 for it. Saved about 50-60 bucks. Vitamix and Blendtec are pretty much respected as being at the top of the game for what they're supposed to do, which is pulverize vegetables and fruit completely (and I mean COMPLETELY). My sister had bought that Montel Williams blender that he has endless infomercials for, and that thing has poor reviews, with many saying that they should have shelled out the extra 200-300 dollars for a Vitamix or Blendtec.

Made myself a smoothie of mixed greens, celery, banana, strawberries and pineapple, with a scoop of protein powder, and it was very tasty. Threw some chia seeds and blue agave nectar in there as well. And the best part: I was full after drinking it. I ate nothing else afterwards. This thing is gonna be a real help, as I'm already doing intermittent fasting anyways.

I need to look into this tabata, that you guys have mentioned.

Does it have to be any particular kind of cardio ?

From what I can tell, it should be fast paced enough to really get your heart rate up. As long as you go all out, pretty much anything can work. I've read that tabata burpees is absolutely killer.

Yeah from what I read nearly anything could work. In one place I saw the dude was doing it with front squats. I'd be throwing up if I did it with squats i think.....

What exactly are burpees? Every time I read that word, the child inside me chuckles.

I love a good swole session.

I feel so much better now, even though I'm exhausted..

New low weight. Kind of cheating since I weighed myself after running 4 miles in the afternoon and then playing 2 hours of basketball tonight. lol Whatever!

                      258.8

102.2 lbs lost over the span of 2 years so far! We'll see where I am at in the morning but I expect to be somewhere between 262-260.

                        Impressive either way. Solid work.

If i can just manage to drop 30lbs, I would be golden.

It starts with cutting out that pizza you were talking about

At this point, I don't see myself dropping weight. I've cut so much off all ready and as I convert what's left into muscle, I'm just going to continue gaining weight. I've been weighing around 230 for a week or two, now... and I've actually been cutting what fat I had left..

I hear ya, I was joking really..

I think a lot of people's problem is just drinking sodas and eating too many sweets. I cut those out of my diet, except the occasional treat and It's helped me out so much. I still eat fairly normal and I think with the right amount of exercise, people can have anything they want in moderation.

Hell, I had some jumbo boneless wings (dipped in hot sauce), with mac n cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, a biscuit, and a glass of sweet tea for lunch... first glass of tea I've had in months and man It was good.

Outside of that, the only thing I've had today was a protein shake with about 50g of protein in it and then after my workout tonight I had some tuna, with about 26 grams of protein w/ a gatorade..

My eating isn't perfect, but It doesn't effect my goals

The longer I've been on my journey, the more I know it's so simple it's hard! Calories in vs calories out, to a point.

Everything we eat matters as far as having the ability to expend energy efficiently and keeping us working in great condition and keeping us healthy and nourished. You need to eat a minimum amount of calories a day so you don't go into starvation mode. We can metabolize any type of food, however, so when losing weight, it's not what we eat, it's how much we eat (in calories).

I also find I lose more weight when I really hit the gym. I think there is more to just that, though. I think the body can expel fat faster when it's being it's being physically challenged. I'm not a scientist by any means, but if you can work out 4-5 times a week and eat about 1500-2000 calories a day, you'll lose weight..
