Over the years she had gotten up to low 170's After the birth of our son, she never lost that weight. When he got placed in the hospital we both ate out worries away. She was 194 when we came home and I was about 175 (about the heaviest I've ever been. I'm only 5'6" and all the weight was on my stomach)

When my son got released from the hospital she said she was tired of it and going to lose weight. She joined Weight Watchers and started working out. Within about 6 months or so she lost 72 pounds. I lost about 25 pounds in a few months just eating better as well.

The other day she went to buy some shorts and she had to buy a size 2. She was in a size 16.

Wow, that is fricking inspiring to the max!!

Great job by both of you and thanks for the app tip.

That is awesome, Dook. Hard work, but its worth it. Once you get into the habit it doesn't seem that hard either.

So she is differently part of my motivation. If she never made the effort I probably wouldn't have either.

That's freaking awesome man! Very inspiring for sure!

Two weeks ago I decided to change my eating/drinking habits for good. The first week I jogged/walked 2-3 miles a day and just wasn't happy. So I started Insanity Monday and have dropped 7 lbs so far. Getting healthy is becoming addictive and I'm loving it. Good luck man!

For someone who enjoys the outdoors this snow in the midwest is killer. I need to play some soccer bad! Just gonna have to do some burpees in my room or something today.

Day 6 of Insanity done. Looking forward to tomorrow mornings weigh in (I know they say not to weigh yourself til month 2 in Insanity) but I've been seeing numbers decrease almost everyday so far.

I forgot to add, I won the biggest loser at my work place.

                  Tomorrow:

Day two of Insanity in the morning.

Day one of Body Beast weight lifting in the evening.

Got Body Beast with a discount so I thought I would try it for the additional weight lifting routines.

It began the second week of January. I fluctuated up and down a pound or two each week all the way up until March 1st which was pathetic. Had my blood pressure checked and it was really bad 144/108! Went on the Engine 2 Diet, watched Forks over Knives on Netflix and began working out seriously daily without looking back.

Had my blood pressure checked the second week of the all plant diet = 134/94. Had it checked again this past week = 130/92. Since March 1st, I have hit my target of dropping 14 pounds. Yes, that is all it took to win.........sad I know. Regardless, I am moving in the right direction and even after winning, I will continue this new lifestyle as I am:

                      Getting stronger
                      Getting slimmer
                      Feeling better
                      Looking better

But most importantly, I am winning the fight! Blood pressure, cholesterol, chest pains, stress and whatever other health issues are being reversed.

I'm back on the fitness wagon. After finally getting healthy, (fingers crossed hoping it stays that way)

Decided to get off up my butt, and start the day off with a frigid run. It was relatively cold outside, and it almost made me turn away and try to go let's do this another day; but I said Nope put on the hoody, and track pants and let's do it. I needed to get my cardio back up.

Then this afternoon got back to the weights, did Triceps, and Back... ate healthy today. Oatmeal, Orange Juice, Egg Whites, Apple, Peanuts... feeling good.

Time to get back to working towards my goals.

After taking my off day Friday and working on my scheduled off day today..Week 1 of Insanity is in the books! Recovery shake, shower and then The Walking Dead! What a way to end my weekend! I can really start to tell a difference in the routines as this is the second time through plyometric cardio. Not saying it's getting easier, I'm just not struggling quite as much this time around. LOL

Missed all workouts as I got home super late tonight. Did play soccer outside for 90 minutes which was at least cardio.

Tomorrow will be Day 2 of Insanity.

                              214 lbs this morning...

I flipped out a little and triple checked it on the scales.

I actually ate a unhealthy as hell meal and did some drinking this weekend too.

I'm calling my recruiter today and lobbying to go back to MEPS Wednesday.

I'm close enough to 213 and I should be able to get a bit more off in two days.

                                January 1, 2013:

                                262.6 pounds

                                Today:

                                233.4 pounds

I'll be in the 220's soon... Have not been there in a very long time. Crazy to think I was 290 at one point in 2008, and have fluctuated between 270+ and 235 since then.

This time, it's for good. That whole thing about this being a lifestyle change? It's true.

210 by June and then it's time to get myself back in the 230 range through adding mass.
