Probably not because I didn't change my diet for football, and I'd put that before boxing.

I lost 60lbs in 2 1/2 months in 2006 and 40lbs in 4 months last year eating the same way I eat now, minus fast food and soda that I rarely eat now that I ate multiple times a week then.

I'm not going to spend double the money just so that whatever I eat is labeled "all natural".

I didn't say all natural. Hell, you can eat pizza and donuts as long as you can stand and lose weight as long as you creating a caloric deficit. The word "diet" has a negative stigma, but you did make changes to your diet by eliminating soda and fast food. That is what I meant by your diet being 80%.

That "All Natural" was meant for RockinDaMike, I knew I should have moved it before posting that.

With the whole fast food/soda thing, they just don't appeal to me like they use to. I still eat it, but I could go a month without getting McDonalds/Wendys/etc. and not even notice.

Hell, when I lost those 40lbs last year, I'd bust my *** at the gym for two hours and drive through Wendy's after to get a Double Baconator with cheese.

I think I eat less then I use to, but that has more to do with money then anything.

I hear you. I prefer to bust my butt for an hour and burn about 800-1000 calories so that I can eat more of what I am accustomed to. I usually eat at least decently, but my portion control is piss poor.

My biggest problem is eating too fast, getting full fast and then being hungry within an hour or two.

I'm still in the elementary/middle/high school habit of eating fast because for all of us who have been there, you have a very limited amount of time to eat.

With my new job, I don't even eat lunch anymore. Not due to being busy, just due to the lack of money and nothing being within walking distance.

Hmm I find myself in a different situation when I eat fast, I tend to get an upset stomach from Indigestion and it makes me lose my appetite for a while. (the food doesn't get chewed up properly)

So now I'm purposely trying to eat food as slowly, and relaxed as possible.

I wish that happened to me. I am a fast eater but apparently, every male in my family is/was a fast eater..

My buddy just told me about an App called Skimble Workout and to follow him. Just playing with it now but pretty awesome app from what I see. Suggesting different workouts throughout the day.

Anyone here use this? We can probably try to follow each other to get motivated and see what workout we did that day.

In my experience, in past years this isn't that bad, maybe a few extra people but nothing crazy, but this week my gym has been packed with these people. And I haven't even been going at the times that are normally busy. No hot girls either. Just older people. Hopefully by next week it will calm down.

My goal for now is to do a better job with my legs. I don't totally neglect them, but I don't do enough volume with them. And if it's a day that I'm busy, or not really feeling it, I'm much quicker to skip it or go easier than with other muscles.

I have been craving soda the past few days like crazy, but I have fought the urge to indulge.

I have also been eating in moderation and starting to watch what I eat as well. Really hoping I can stick to it this year.

Started back up working out today after being sick for over a week with the flu. Felt good to get back to it. I'm focusing on a very basic set of cardio and bodyweight workouts for a few months, as seen here: http://www.teenbodybuilding.com/brent2.htm

It's from a Bodybuilding.com "teen" site for some reason, but it's a pretty killer workout when looking at the endgame.

Day 1 was intense, especially after being sick this long. I did the 2 mile run, and then hopped off, alternated the sets of pullups and situps until the pullups were done, then finished the last set of situps before tackling the pushups. All of this was done with as little of a break as possible between sets.

No big changes for me this year, just keep on working out consistently and not fall off the wagon. February/March is going to be tough because I'll be getting back from deployment which means a lot of celebrating, drinking, and eating. Hopefully I'll continue working out a lot through that time period and I'll be fine.

Last night I ran outside for the first time in a long time and it was great. I got tired of the treadmill and was starting to cut my workouts short because I got bored. I'm going to enjoy this last month where I can run outside in nice weather, before I head back to Chicago and freeze my *** off. I'm going to look into some winter workout clothing so I can continue my runs outside.

hat, gloves, a thermal compression shirt, and then a lighter shirt over that is all I really need to run outside in the winter in the 20+ degree range. Can wear long pants if you want, I usually go with shorts though since my legs don't really get cold.

Those winter compression shirts though do wonders once you get going.
