    Re: 2013 FITNESS CHALLENGE

I been juicing since November or December can't remember but I went from 185 and I'm at 169 (as of this morning). I'm pretty much at my preferred weight for height right now. I'm starting to work out again now to lean up slightly more then I wanna sit around 170.

    I use the Nutribullet

Best purchase I've made in years. My fiancee is down 15lbs also. Typical morning shake is something like this.

Banana, strawberry, grapes, kale, 3-6-9 oil, flax seed, natural honey, thumbnail size piece of ginger root, and water. BALLIN *** breakfast that keeps your energy level up nicely till first snack or lunch time.

All fruits I freeze so they last much much longer. What is in the freezer now pineapple, apple, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, baby spinach, kale, mango, black berries, strawberries, and banana's. This is pretty common with what we keep frozen. Simple grab and chunk in NB and go. I did kiwi's once but they are a pain to freeze with how they stick together. Now I'll tell you nothing is better than taking a fresh pineapple, craving it up and using that in your shakes (If I don't eat it all while I'm slicing it up lol)

Just curious, but what exactly does the "juicing" entail?

Basically putting a bunch of fruits and veggies into a juicer and enjoying the drinks.

We got a nice juicer around Christmas time and we love it. Use it all the time.

Well, I mean beyond that. I can't afford all that fruit/veggies without making that my main diet for a week or two.

**** me. I need a juicer. Im lazy and buy the nakeds from walmart that are varied with what fruits in them. Love the boost but could probably save way more money just making my own.

Plus those naked juices aren't all that healthy for you anyways, truth be told.

Plus don't get a juicer that "destroys" the fruit or veggies to get the juice. Most the good stuff is in the pulp. Get a good blender/juicer. It is WAY WAYYYYY easier on clean up, much easier to use, and extremely faster. Making my breakfast shake in morning takes 5 min tops then 30 sec to unscrew lid and wash off.

A juicer juicer you have to set up, each fruit takes 30 sec to juice then to clean the thing OMG that is a chore.

Oh and tip on saving money. Freeze your fruits and veggies they will keep for 6 months and it gives you the "ice" effect without using ice so you have a nice cold smoothie.

It is still better to just eat the fruits and veggies then it is to juice.

It is no different, it is just easier on the digestive system if it is blended. Now strictly removing only the juice, yea I agree.

I worked out twice last saturday, once in the morning and later that night with a friend and saw that I gained 6 pounds overnight. I was laughing maniacally at the idea of working out gaining me weight. I almost lost my mind. But I forgot I drank aprox 3 liters of water that day and hadn't let it out.

Anyway my arms have finally been able to go down my sides again after destroying my triceps last week. So I look forward to starting that process over again tonight .

What kind of routines are you guys doing?

When I'm done with Insanity I'd like to incorporate more things into my a mostly cardio/plyo routine. I'll probably rotate some of the Insanity workouts, start up Yoga or Tai Chi, reincorporate weights, etc.

I'm going into my 4th week of Insanity, so almost halfway there. After I finish, I'm thinking of doing Insanity 3-5 days a week, every other day and see if that'll maintain the weight I want to be at. That is if I hit my target weight with one round of Insanity. I'm currently down 16 lbs and would like to lose another 15 lbs or so before it's over.

I just joined a gym. I'm 5' 9'' around 150-155. I really don't have visible fat. I'm about 8-10% body fat and you can see my abs, they aren't visible just cause I'm skinny either there's actually muscle. I'm just trying to get bigger and jump higher

I have one too Phobia and I love it. My only problem is that the motor has strarted to rust out a little bit. Other than that it's fantastic. I drink a shake every morning. Usually it's:

                                Ice
                                Almond Milk
                                Egg Protein
                                Banana
                                Blueberries
                                Starwberries

I use the ice to make it thicker and the almond milk to give me some calcium since I don't eat dairy. I also blend some vitamins in there.
