Do you like Watermelon? If you do youll love it grilled!
The sugars caramelize and the water keeps it from drying out!

It is so good and goes great with pork and grilled jalapenos!

I just need to get some of these nifty grilling utensils.

I've been cooking more on gas recently. I've always preferred charcoal, but we got a new gas grill and I'm getting used to cooking on it. It was also more convenient on nights like lastnight, where I needed quick heat.

I've never thought to grill watermelon. I may try that tonight if my wife doesn't try to kill me for doing it. She can devour watermelon.

Grilled watermelon is nasty. I like mine cool and refreshing, not warm and um... not refreshing I guess. I do second the recommendation on grilled bell peppers though. Makes them all soft and brings out the sweetness.

I grew up on propane just because of the convenience factor. There is no doubt that charcoal makes better food though. There is no debating that. I do keep my small webber and a bag of charcoal around though for camping and tailgating. It makes those events a little bit more special.

What do you guys put them in for stuffed peppers when grilling? Its been something I always want to try, but always forget about when I'm coming up with a meal.

My gas grill has the tubes I can put tongs on (or whatever), but doesn't have hooks to hold the loops that most tools offer.

What do you guys do to hold your brush, tongs, flipper, etc? I set them on the counter type thing my grill has, but wish it had spots to hang stuff...

Do I need to get hooks that can go around the metal tubes or something? I can't be the first person to wonder this type of thing....

Rice, beef, and tomatoes were always in my father's. They were perfect. I will see if I can find a recipe at home.

Or you can just grill the peppers whole and unstuffed.
                        Same with Jalapenos.

Never done stuffed peppers so I can't weight in there.

What's y'all feeling of the different ways to grill corn on the cob.

In the husk, soaked in water so they steam/grill and the husk doesn't ignite. They get flavor from the husk and the grill but then it's got to get husked to eat.

Or husked and grilled directly like Curahee has done in the pic above. That'd seem easy to overcook and dry out but wouldn't have to mess with husking it after its been cooked.

I guess there also husked and wrapped in foil with a pat of butter and pinch of salt.

                              Corn on the cob:

When I did mine last year I pulled the husks back and tied them together to make handles (also helps if you still have part of the stalk on at the ends) and put some kind of glaze on them. Turned out really well.

I like the tying back the husks idea. Would take up more room on the grill but I do like the built in handle.
