Re: Off Topic: The OSian Accords Must Be Signed
I hate when they have "2 for" sales with the fine print stating that buying 1 isn't half of buying 2.
Who checks the fine print on that? I see some beverages on sale 2 for $6 and the one I buy rings up for $3.49 and it's annoying

Re: Off Topic: The OSian Accords Must Be Signed
If you're "ordering" 4 items, the presumption is that you're paying for all 4. So you should receive 8, with 4 of them being the free ones.
No difference in "ordering" and "buying" to me.
I understand how one might think "ordering" 4 means only paying for two, but the underlying thought there is that you'd have to clarify you mean buying two and getting two free.
All depends on the how the thought process unfolds.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 05-11-2016, 04:46 AM.Comment

I always assume the price is only good when you buy more then one. Bulk pricing, the more you buy the cheaper the cost per item.
I shop at Safeway typically and they usually let you buy individually at the discounted price which is awesome. The one item that I know this doesn't work for is the 12 packs of soda because they're usually buy 3 or more at $3.33 per item, but I'm not trying to drink that much soda.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

SpoilerOh wait, that is just our trampoline that got picked up, taken two houses down and placed on top of their roof after the storm that come through last night.Comment

Re: Off Topic 3: Civil War
Yep, both parties do. They will probably end up being a liability on our insurance and no one will pay a deductible. Adjuster is coming out Friday to look at our property. We just had a new privacy fence put up last Thursday, which the trampoline was by, only damage was a missing chip about 8 inches long on one of the planks and the fence is leaning just a tad. So the wind actually picked up the trampoline and dropped it on the house two houses down. Crazy!Comment

Re: Off Topic: The OSian Accords Must Be Signed
So, on Friday afternoon, just when I was about to leave the office and head home, I ran into my boss. He owns some horses at the local horsetrack (or whatever it's called, I'm really not interested in this) and he was starting a conversation about how excited he was to go to the track and feed his horse some carrots right after work (like I've never heard this **** before).
Then he said: "My horse is running on Mother's day". Which immediately reminded me of this scene:
<iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/z0umYspP3_4?rel=0" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="420"></iframe>
So I ask him: "His mother was a mudder?" and he replies: "No, no, he's running on Mother's Day". So I keep asking "So his father was a mudder?", and he repeats "No, no, the race is on Mother's Day, not a mudder!". Haha....So I couldn't hold it anymore and started to actually laughing and he had no idea what was so funny...haha. Gotta love making fun of the boss sometimes...My Specs:

In a meeting a few years back one of my co-workers said that Bob Sacamano was his contact at the bank because he was supposed to call the bank and forgot. I was a lot more amused than our boss was.Comment
