re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
Eh, I don't know about that. Obviously winning is most important, but there isn't much enjoyment in winning games by playing ugly, slow, plodding, and dirty. We have to remember that we're watching to enjoy too. I'd rather watch Holland than Italy, for example.
For a team like us though, at this point we *do* have to win no matter what. Style will have to form later if it doesn't come with winning as a "package deal."Comment

Yeah I'd much rather win the World Cup by winning 1-0 (parking the bus, and that goal being a cheap own goal) every time, than crash out in the knockout round (or before) playing entertaining soccer.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

If you go by Landon's advice, when does Wondo come on?
Also 2 subs now used by Portugal.
EDIT: 3rd Portugal sub used. When will we use ours? IMO we should go for the win. Let's put destiny in our own hands!Last edited by jesmith29; 06-22-2014, 06:27 PM.'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude.
