    Definitely agree on Fellaini

Neymar is more of a pipedream I suppose. I would just love to see him go to the EPL and see what he can do in such a physical game. His diving is already pretty bad, if he goes to La Liga it's just going to get worse. Imo Liga has eclipsed all other leagues in the flopping category as of late, I feel like I am watching ballet.

Would love to see what a player of his skill is capable of when he's not diving and is maybe forced to bulk up a bit and play more physically.

Back on topic, I know we've been monitoring both Reus and Schurrle for a while. One of them even said, during summer I believe, that "everybody in the Bundesliga would love to play for Chelsea". Obviously Reus is out of the question but Schurrle would fit really well.

Good lord, can you imagine our already stacked midfield with Fellaini and a striker consistently scoring? I honestly think we are just a few players from being virtually unstoppable.

We pulled that one out in no parts thanks to Torres. Twice he had chances to score and flubbed both. The lovely chip from Luiz which he couldn't even control and the chance late with Oscar & Moses on the 3-on-1 counter where he didn't bend his run and allowed the defender to close down on him. Despite his recent scoring increase under Rafa he's still too inconsistent for the elite club we want to be.

Luiz was a little shaky this game at CDM. He allowed Pinnear to roll him leading to the first game but for some reason I still like him in that role, more so than Mikel because of his playmaking ability and better passing range.

Home to QPR on the 2nd, and then 2 cup matches vs Southampton and Swansea. Hopefully we'll get to see some squad rotation and see what guys like Marin and Piazon can do.

I like Luiz in the role too, I think he could actually be molded into a decent CDM. I've always felt Mikel is a bit overrated.

I'm still confused about Lukaku though. Why did we even loan him out? We were already short on strikers and he had a really good pre-season I thought. I understand he is not a finished product but if he can score that many goals with West Brom, I have to imagine he could score way more with our midfield behind him. Imo we should just recall him from his loan.

Also, I can't understand why they are letting Lampard walk, it's not like we need the money.

Agreed. If anything his leadership is not replaceable. Especially considering after Terry, there is no one with leadership qualities to be on the pitch with the captain's band other then him and Frank...

On a side note good victory last night. With them hitting the woodwork three times I feel we go more lucky then deserving to take all 3 points. Torres once again has disappointed. As KG mentioned, terrible. Especially the 3 on 1.

Doubt we see Neymar but we do have Piazon, Luiz, and Oscar which are all buddies with him so you never know...

                Hey we can always hope

What do you think about the possible acquisition of Ba? Honestly I don't think he will pass the medical, but at such a low price for a guy scoring that many goals it might be worth it.

Personally I rather see them bring back Lukaku from loan then purchase Ba.

That's what I keep hoping for

Like I said, if Lukaku can score that many goals as a sub for West Brom, I can't imagine he'd have much trouble scoring with us. I don't know why they are so hesitant about him, I mean I realize he is very young but I would think he has at least proved himself worthy of a chance.

He's too young to lead the line. He got by in the Juniper League on being more athletic than everyone else and his overall game lagged a little. I'd rather see him stay at West Brom this year and continue to get regular minutes, especially consider we wasted a year for him sitting on the bench. Not sure about Ba considering he has a $3 million dollar buyout.

We need to get 3 points tomorrow vs QPR. They are a squad in turmoil and we need to thump them accordingly.

Who would you rather see come in over Ba? Or do you think Torres is capable of regaining dominance? I love Torres and I'd love to see him on top again but I don't think he can become what he was. It's not really feasible that he'd regain his pace, I think he needs to re-invent himself if he is to succeed. He can't be the same type of striker he was at Liverpool.

I think for 7 million, Ba would be a solid pick-up. Low cost for a guy who already has 13 goals this season (6 more than Torres). I'd love to see Falcao, Neymar, Cavani, Jovetic, but we know they're not coming in January. Therefore, Ba will have to do. I agree that Lukaku needs some more time at West Brom and he even said so too.

As for Fernando, I think Rafa knows he can't be the same guy he was at Liverpool and they are playing more direct to cater more to Torres. He's been better, but again, he has lost his first touch and is clumsy on the ball. I don't think he'll be a dominant striker again in the vein of RVP or Falcao because so much of what made him dominant at Liverpool was based on his physical ability and pace

                          EDIT:

Ba to Chelsea a done deal according to Sky. Like I said, nice signing for a guy who can and will score goals for us. Not a flashy name, but will be a good player who might even unsurp Torres as the go-to guy

Yeah I wouldn't really expect big name moves of that nature in January, maybe in summer though.

Had a bad feeling about today's game last night, playing against a team as desperate as QPR is always dangerous. We had way too many un-finished chances, Torres and Moses should have had goals at the very least. Still have a game in hand but we really can't afford a loss right now with the top of the table so tight.

So, Lampard's agent pretty much made it official that the team won't be offering Frankie a contract after this season. It's off to MLS, or who knows where.

Where's the Ba praise? He looked great up front. We actually looked like we were playing 11 on the field for 90 minutes.
