Use formation subs. Auto subs arent a way to get 3rd stringers carries.

I dont know if thats true. I tried that before I stated my CFM and the cpu backups werent getting carries until I changed each team.

In M25, you didnt have to change its team but I dont know if thats the case in M15.

Not true for CFM... Auto Subs are set to 50 / 50 by default and have to be changed for each team to sub correctly

I'm almost positive that the game you are playing use your auto sub settings for both teams, I see the cpu players sub out the same as my players. I can't see the game using two sets of auto subs for a user vs cpu game. Regardless with whoever is right this is part of the game that sorely needs to finally be addressed, amongst other things.

Re: Aaron's Auto Sub Sliders

I apologize in advance for the very long post.

Ok, so I've been putting off my CCM until being able to solidify things, such as QBA sliders, the sack issue, auto subs, etc. I am trying to set up a running offense with the 49ers that they run in real life. To preserve Gore, the 49ers roughly give him carries with a ratio of 2-1 with his backups. For example, before the game that starts in a few mins, Gore currently has 108 carries to 48 carries by his current backup Carlos Hyde (along with 49 carries from QB Kaep, simply because of Kaep being a mobile qb). I am trying to recreate something similar within my franchise. Like others, I tested by simply running the ball over and over. I would expect a top tier rb to sub out after 3-4 runs, or maybe even 5 at first, depending on stamina, and deteriorate over time. When running around 30 plays a game for a balanced offense, the 6-3-1 ratio that was achieved by a user early on in the thread would be great. However, if that team were ONLY pounding the rock the entire game, that ratio would be much more balanced. So I setup a CCM with the sole purpose to test the effects of fatigue and auto subs on the user rb. I ran 4-min quarters, with 20 sec runoff to maintain an accurate amount of total run plays for a 49ers offense over the course of a regular game (30-35) against the same team (Week 1 Cowboys) and would only change fatigue and rb sub sliders. For comparison purposes here are the stats for the real life starter and backup rbs after 7 games.

Gore-102 attempts for 423 yards, 4.1 avg
Hyde-48 attempts for 161 yards, 3.4 avg

At 60 fatigue, I was simply not seeing the subs I wanted, so I started with 70. I also recorded Break Tackles as it appeared that getting hit and breaking a tackle would dramatically drop the stamina meter, so I wrote it down just in case. I tested at Fatigues of 70, 85, and 100. I also recorded the number of carries before the first time the 2nd string RB came in.

Fatigue 70

In 95 Out 92
Gore- 28 for 128, 3 Break Tackles, 5 Carries Before Sub
Hyde- 5 for 19, 0 BTK

In 91 Out 90
Gore - 25 for 134, 3 BTK, 5 CBS
Hyde - 4 for 14, 1 BTK

In 85/ Out 73
Gore 27 for 110, 4 BTK, 6 CBS
Hyde 6 for 20, 0 BTK

In 90 Out 85
Gore 23 for 109 1 BTK, 4 CBS
Hyde 4 for 36

FATIGUE 85
In 90 Out 83
Gore 24 for 110 3 BTK, 4 CBS
Hyde 11 for 53 0 BTK

In 95 Out 83
Gore 21 for 95, 2 BTK, 4 CBS
Hyde 9 For 54

In 100 Out 99
Gore 20 for 80, 4 BTK, 4 CBS
Hyde 14 for 61, 2 BTK

In 25 Out 0
Gore 22 for 113, 2 BTK, 5 CBS
Hyde 11 for 62, 0 BTK

Default Auto subs (50/50)
Gore 21 for 102, 4 BTK, 4 CBS
Hyde 9 for 24, 2 BTK
Lattimore 1 for 3, (only time I had Lattimore, 3rd string rb, come in)

FATIGUE 100
In 90 Out 78
Gore 19 for 121, 7 BTK, 3 CBS
Hyde 13 for 62, 2 BTK

In 95 Out 92
Gore 21 for 68, 3 BTK, 3 CBS
Hyde 8 for 50, 2 BTK

In 98 Out 95
Gore 28 for 118, 5 BTK, 4 CBS
Hyde 8 for 32, 2 BTK

In 100 Out 99
Gore 24 for 89, 1 BTK, 6 CBS
Hyde 9 For 32, 1 BTK

I liked the carry ratio that 100 Fatigue was giving me, however, too many OLs were rotating out, even at subs 0/1 for them. On 85, there were still too many. On 70, it seemed right. While I am sure the quarter length played a huge factor into the fatigue levels of the players, I feel that changing auto subs should have a larger change between levels, especially at 100/99. It seemed as they were almost negligible in comparison to changing the fatigue level. In the end, I have came to the conclusion that the only way to have a consistent realistic amount of rb carries that I desire is through formation subs, or using the HB Spell option if choosing each play, as has been mentioned earlier in this thread.

Question:
Does anyone know for sure if the changes made in formations carry on to the next game, or do you have to go back and set them each and every time?

Thanks to those who took the time to read this, and again I apologize for the length.

Re: Aaron's Auto Sub Sliders

Btw, for any one looking to recreate these tests, I was using JoshC's sliders on slow speed, all-madden, difficulty with 0 threshold. I would super sim defense to get back to testing rushing. Only took about 15 mins per game.
