It's easily the biggest flaw in the game. I'm actually surprised, I know it's near the top of Clint's to-do list.

Re: Leaked madden 18 e3

Player models: wow. New ones and just look better overall.

Graphics: Holy hell!

Better QB throwing animations, ball trajectory looked better too. Maybe it's the camera.

Some nice animations, but some of the same old awkward looking ones. I've come to accept it.

Line play: Jury still out. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt by them saying its been worked on and better. But I didn't notice much change in that last video.

Although one of the other videos showed some nice new blocking animations between the LT and DE.

Overall I think it's looking really good at this point. !7 was a good game imo. If the line play is better in the retail version, I think 18 can be a great game.

The two kids playing clearly don't have any skill set. They are playing on simulation mode.

I wish Cam's throwing motion looked like that in the game. I've seen alot of good ones so far, but it just makes the ugly ones stand out. They've been in the game far too long....

That was absolutely brutal to watch but it still gives me the feeling that once we get some sim guys releasing they're footage that it's going to look amazing.

Can't wait to see what some weather games do to the uniforms and just how they look in general.

The pass at the 1:50 mark looks all wrong as far as throwing motion goes. Def seeing a jump in the visuals , buts hard to pick out gameplay improvements because these kids are just throwing up Hail Marys.

Cam's personal mechanics look funny, though, and it looks like he's doing some weird **** with his shoulder. It's not really in an effort to get the ball deep, though, he does the same thing on dump offs. It's just a quirk of his release.

The animation isn't great for Cam, and it looks odd, but it's not unrealistic really. At least, not in the context of Madden throw animations.

Cam actually still rears back his arms in all his throws, even ones off his back foot.

The degree of "rearing back the arm" is insignificant; it happens with all athletic throwing motion. It's the fact that the body needs to convert potential energy (rear back arms) into kinetic energy (forward throwing motion).

Cam's strong arms may not require him to rear back with tremendous torque, and allows him to throw off his back foot, but he still needs to motion his arms back first (i.e. Anticipation).

Watch any of throwing motion, some of it may be subtle, but if you're perceptive, you'll see that each and every single throw requires him to rear back his arm. The Madden gif that I pointed out misses the "anticipation" concept.

Cam Newton Throws - Rears back his shoulders.

That example actually proves my point.

Please re-watch the video because Cam rears his arm backward before going into the throwing motion.

Yes, Cam Newton is strong, but mechanically, the way the human body works to throw a pass, requires the person to rear his throwing arm backwards first. This is the "Anticipation" concept in animation, which also describes how human movement works.
