Re: How in-depth do you think Madden will take its archetype system?

The best case scenario for this stuff is that it truly punishes and rewards ratings gaps for players. Having an elite edge rusher should now make a much bigger difference against inferior pass blocking than a run stopping DE. Furthermore, a speed/finesse edge rusher should be a HUGE liability against the run.

I remember guys like Kabir Gbajabiamila. He was a pure pass rusher that was good for darn neart 10 sacks a year for green bay when healthy. But he couldn't do anything else and would get blown up on run downs. Another guy is Willie Young. As a pure edge rusher in a tampa 2, he was a problem when he played with detroit. Chicago took him and tried to make him into a 3-4 linebacker and it never worked out.

If they can match these specialists positions with gameplay that makes it meaningful, it will be a GREAT addition. If it's just smoke and mirrors. Well what else is new.

The issue with that is gameplay. I don't remember last time D-Line play in Madden mattered for AI. For past years, it feels like a dice roll. It is either an insta-shed animation or blocks get held for entire play.
Some ratings should drop when you force players into positions. Like AWR, some positional ratings should drop just so there is a consequence for playing players out of position

Do you think the player Arch types will be new additions as far as the titles go because the game has had archetypes but they were labeled as player type and pretty much mattered little to none. Some examples are pocket passer, balanced, scrambler, 3 - 4 pass rusher... ETC

Do you think they will get more detailed for example such as A-1 Tech, Edge rusher, Force Defender?

Are you expecting much out of this announcement because I think the potential is there. But I have a feeling that Madden will keep its same old lineage that has been in the game for 15 years now.

What are types would you like to see? And how would you like to see them impact the game of Madden?

Force defender isn't really an archetype in real life. That changes position to position based on play call and alignment. Edge, however, is, and 3-technique and so on.

About as indepth as everything else they add to CFM. If you can call any of it "deep" at all. A better question will be how shallow will it be .
Those are exactly the same questions, tbh. "How tall if your wife?" = "How short is your wife?" She's 5'8' either way.

In theory it's the same question, but just like with the post you're quoting, no one ever takes the former as a negative, but the latter would be automatically perceived as a dig. The first is probably a legitimate query to be answered, the second is where you go "okay, you're that dude, we're done."

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
