Bummer. You did burst my bubble. They would probably have to purge the whole development team in order to get a playable Madden so I guess my hopes were a little out of wack.

Ian didn't have to see the movie Titanic twice to know how it ends. The EA ship has been taking on water for quite some time. Better to get off at the next iceberg than to ride this one down to the bottom.

Go Jack Dawson aka Ian DiCaprio.........good for him for finally pushing that dumb #@#$ off of the door and saving himself. Hopefully we will see him here at O.S. in the near future.

The article of Orlando Business Journal posted by PastaPadre in the original announcement mentions "Row Sham Bow, Inc.", which is a social gaming company... perhaps that's where he's off to?

Nowhere are Ian's name and this company mentioned in the same place, however.

EA is doing just fine. EA has really upped the ante for how a Publisher should operate, they are supplying the cash and not getting in the way. Hell, some of the best games released this console generation were published by EA, Quietly. Mass Effect, The Orange Box, Crysis 2, Battlefield Games, Dead Space; All published by EA. The days of EA buying up developers, firing everyone, and just keeping the names the same are long over. I am surprised Activision has taken this route as it did not work for EA.

I think the main bulletpoint of this presentation is that you are wrong about EA being the Titanic.
