Just crazy that it's basically us talking about this, as it seems most things are just catered to the online modes/play.

Like I really hope it gets addressed in a patch because it wasn't like this during releas, or atleast not this Bad. But it seems this isn't a gameplau issue they are willing to fix.

I really want to start a mynba now, but i just can't with thre game like this.

It's very fixable once you adjust sliders.

Hey guys! I didn't play it at launch, just after the patch, but I felt exactly what you were complaining about. Stifling and unrealistic defense.

But I believe I FOUND THE PROBLEM! Is in the DEFENSE sliders:

Inside/drive contact, jumpshot release/gather, drive gather/release. I change all this to 20 and YES! No more GOD defense by CPU.

Now I need to work to find the exact balance. Test it and see if solves for you. I play in the HOF, anyway.

this part is so true. until i found this post, i had started watching youtube videos on how to do advanced dribble breakdown moves thinking my lack of iso sticks skills was what was holding me back. but you’re absolutely right, topwater, that wouldn’t be an accurate representation of NBA basketball.

way way back i was an offline franchise player, but a few years back i decided to embrace myteam. had some fun with it, mostly collecting cards and playing offline. then in the last couple of years, i got so tired of the grind, the online toxicity, and the ridiculous cards (99 galaxy opal tacko fall type sh*t), that i was going to come full circle this year and go strictly offline with myeras, mygm or whatever the hell they call franchise these days. i felt really good about my choice on friday. but this new state of the game has me rethinking my life choices.

^ Agree! About that...

Jordan never was a crossover or and1 guy, but he's just unstoppable in attack. Its about speed + first step + read defense. There isn't a single player in the entire NBA who could stop him 1-on-1.

So, u right, we not need dribles to pass our opponent. Try my tip, 2 topic above!

Nah, gotta reiterate it as much as possible since everyone seems to be missing it in this thread. Drop Body Up Sensitivity to 20 or lower for the User, and boom you can blowby defenders that you should. Dropping the Speed/Accel/Strength/Lateral Quickness attributes for the CPU (on SS/HOF difficulty) will also remove the artificial boost they receive. JasonWilliams55 made a great post years ago on this subject: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...09&postcount=5

No proof that these same values are still 100% accurate, but that's how the game used to boost/nerf the CPU based on difficulty. Make of that what you will.

Dropping the sliders is worth a try, but what about the fact players seem like they arw moving sluggish and in mud one day and the next day they are not.

I popped in the game last night and everything just felt sluggish. I played 3 days ago and it didn't feel like that.

Theres few problems I guess for me
