Or 2 take it a step farther every maxed out pg-slasher or whatever will be the same minus whatever 17 points they thought wasn't important for their playstyle?

Meh you should be able to purchase all the levels with VC then get some extra to add "beyond" the soft cap.

Silly that being a good defender means you have to shoot like crap. Kind of ironic with PG as the cover athlete.
3 and D can happen, somewhat, through badges. No, you can't be elite at both, but you can be elite at one and effective at the other

Being shorter makes your a better ball handler according to the trailer, thats what I meant and adjusting your wingspan compensates for your lack of size giving you more length while also being able to shoot.

i want to make a center again but im torn between glass cleaner, Athletic finisher and stretch big. i like post scorer too.

Can glass cleaners rebound better than the other centers or is it all about getting position. Like if i made a Stretch big could i keep up with a glass cleaner on the boards?

do athletic finishers leap higher than the other centers?

Can post scorers hit the midrange if open enough?

and finally lol, how much of an effect does weight matter. i noticed stretch bigs are weak inside but i also noticed if you make your myplayer heavier/taller you get an increase in standing dunks/ rebounding/ strength and stuff so could i make a stretch big and just make him heavy and tall to get a boost with my inside scoring?

if your not allowed to answer any of this i understand

Can you? How on earth could I pick lockdown defender which limits me to SEVEN points of three. How can a badge make that effective at threes?

The big problems is twofold. You guys look at defender the same across positions. So an elite defenders inside who blocks shots, that makes total sense. For an elite defending pg, not so much. Now as an elite defending pg I get 17 points to use on rebounding. ?!?! I don't want that crap. Don't even get me started on the 24 in strength. You'd have to be crazy to make an elite defending pg. Heck even pass it Capped at 9, really for a pg?

Of course I guess if he is a 5'11" pg maybe even a couple of points in 3pt will give you a 75 or something but I kind of doubt it. Need to flush out the CAPS with adjustment to what a certain archetype is for that position IMHO.

Kind of get your point and the reason why I propposed this

Some propposition for future iterations (a patch maybe ?) ... adding the possibility of a 1 time upgrade where one can go over the cap of 1 category at the expense of downgrading another ... like lets say, I want to trade XX levels of mid range for XX levels of defense (XX are equal for both categories, or, are judged by the importance of one over the other for that archetype, so XX of A is like XX-1 of B) ... or something alike.

This would allow, without breaking the balance of still having positives and negatives for an archetype, to have different versions within the same archetype and within the same meassures.
I think that instead of braking a bit more some of the categories (I think is ultimately the best solution, to further brake it into more categories), getting something like what I propposed available is a middle ground (dont have a clue honestly but might - or not- require as much under the hood engeneering.

Anyways, looking forward to test the predefined archetypes.

Of course not, but he would have a better rebounding than almost any other PG while having very little offensive talent at all. I guess we will see when some actual ratings are looked at but I can't see anyone picking elite defender unless they are playing down low. Every cap limit it high for talents you need in a big guy and in the tank for those you need on the wings.

To me instead of 3&D you can either 3&d or no3&D. Should be awesome for the stretch 4 and five guys I can't see any reason someone would make a pg/sg elite defender. You just have to give up WAY too much. Without even considering what weak badges Chase Down Artist and Charge Card are. All the other pg types get some really good badges.

Just hope it doesn't result in too much 3 cheese.

I would just like to see being a perimeter defender be something worthwhile. Right now I don't think it likely will be.
