Re: How is your dynasty going

Florida Gators, HC, Year 3 (2021)
Week 1: FAU (NS, Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL)
Both sides of the ball were dominant today, as our defense held the Owls to just 3 points, and our offense put up 49. QB Brandon Andrews was great in his debut, going 21/28 for 158 yds, 2 td and an int, pretty much cementing himself as our starter moving forward. RB Chris Williams had 154 yds on the ground, on just 12 carries, including a 67 td rush. CB Joe Daniels had 2 ints as well. Next week is against 14Auburn.
Final: 49-3, FL
Record: 1-0

How is your dynasty going

Week 2: 14Auburn
Our D forced 4 turnovers, including a pick six. Brandon Andrews was spectacular, going 21/26 for 233 yds and 2 tds. His efficiency was too much for Auburns defense.
Final: 34-17, FL
Record: 2-0 (1-0)
Week 3: @ Alabama
After a 104 yd kick return by WR Lamonte Whitehead, we scored again, putting us up 14-0. Bama QB Jason Kendricks was bad (just like last year when he threw 5 ints), throwing 3 ints. The Tide came back to tie it at 14 in the third, but after a trick play by me, (wildcat: jet sweep pass) I scored a td, going up 21-14, eventually winning 24-17. Pretty good game. Don't look now, but my team is looking pretty damn good.
Final: 24-17, FL
Record: 3-0 (2-0)
Next up is 6Tennessee. This will be a serious test.

DEMON DEACONS LOSE HEARTBREAKER

Winston-Salem, NC (AP) -

The scene at BT&T Field just before half-time resembled a fire drill with Wake Forest losing 31-3 to Army in their season opener.

Too bad those fans didn't stick around to watch the Demon Deacons catch fire in the second half and almost pull off the impossible with a quarterback who entered the game as the third string QB but left it as the undisputed #1 going forward

When AJ Carter hit Johnny Holyross with a two-yard TD pass with :20 remaining in the half to make the score 31-10, not too many people expected much.

What they got was a comeback for the ages. Carter engineered four touchdown scoring drives in the second half with the last culminating in a Matt Whitaker 7 yard TD run with 1:07 left to give the Demon Deacons an improbable 38-34 lead.

Unfortunately the Deacons defense couldn't hold.

Wake Forest, which was was chewed up for 223 yards rushing in the first half, made some half time adjustments which saw them limit the Black Knights to only 46 yards rushing in the second half.

But it was the passing game which would clutch up for Army as Chad Peterson drove the Black Knights deep into Deacons territory.

Facing a fourth and goal from the 13 yard line with :08 remaining, Peterson spotted WR Jason Porter, who had inside position on All-American SS Jake Sharpe, and the Army receiver came down with the ball and the win.

"Our team played their guts out today. We just came up short," stated Wake Forest Coach Duane. "If we play with the intensity we showed in the second half, we will be just fine."

BEHIND THE PULPIT: Starting QB Andre Tillman was replaced by Zharvis Hardy midway through the first quarter after a pick six and a fumble. Hardy struggled mightily before Carter came into the game. Hardy would return in the fourth quarter when Carter was temporarily sidelined with turf toe. He finished the day by going 10 for 27 and 89 yards. Carter went 12 for 18 for 132 yards and three TD's while also carrying the ball 18 times for 153 yards. OLB Tim Brown Jr had 14 tackles and was named NCAA POW.

Re: How is your dynasty going

In his third season at UMass, Billy Wettest's Minutemen are becoming accustomed to ACC play (we moved for this year). After a big win over a terrible rushing defense in Virginia Tech, we face a team far worse in week 6- Wake Forest.

The game started fast, with our star senior receiver Tajae Sharpe taking back the opening kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown. Wake Forest was unable to move the ball against our penetrating defense, with star DT Patrick Burnett getting two big sacks to start. He is coming off a 29-sack season against the very poor MAC.

Star sophomore QB Tyson Dickerson is maybe the best in the country. He may not always pass at an elite level like he did against VT, but he can run like Lamar Jackson. One play into our second drive, Dickerson kept the ball on the read-option, and ran it in for a 55-yard TD, with a fantastic block by Sharpe to spring him.

Wake Forest's Tyler Cameron came back firing- unfortunately for him, the ball bounced off of Sherman Ragland's hands, straight into the hands of Jaurice Jones. Jones turned around, and saw the 40 yards of nothing but green between him and the Demon Deacons' end zone. He brought the ball back for a TD- and it was 21-0, 3 minutes into the game.

On our next drive, John Owens ran for another TD. At the half, it was 28-0.

Wake Forest continued to find no room against our elite defense. Our defensive line dominated, led by Burnett and a star transfer DT from Georgia State, Joe Lockley. Our linebackers, led by Kassan Messiah and Jovan Santos-Knox, played well in coverage against a good TE group, and did not allow Martin to gain yardage, outside of one big 29-yarder. Or secondary continued to perform, with our cornerbacks Jette and Dudley-Giles making big plays (including an acrobatic pick by Jette), Khary Bailey-Smith as his usual hard-hitting self, and new starting FS Maurice Grant dominating.

John Owens ran Wake Forest into the ground, collecting 3 more touchdowns for a total of 4. His 4th, and best, was an 18-yarder with 3 broken tackles and an incredible juke move.

Jamal Wilson was his usual shifty self, rushing for 8 YPC and a 2-pt conversion.

Final score: 50-0, UMass. Dominance as usual by the #12 Minutemen.

In recruiting, we landed:
5 star RB Dennis Cannon (99 speed)
5 star FS J.J. McConnell
4-star ATH Steve Cole (98 speed)
4-star (but 80 OVR gem) T Mark Davis

What a week! Our recruiting class could be truly elite.

We face North Carolina State next week. They have a better offense, a worse passing defense, but a better rushing defense. I predict a 49-7 win.

Since I've been at Georgia State so long and been so successful, I get all the top recruits from Florida/Georgia/Texas. It's just to easy with that team now, but I want to break all the NCAA records so I stay.

It is, that's why I started with the 2nd coach and strictly run WingBone Option plays to give myself more of a challenge.

It does get boring after awhile. Id' wish EA/NCAA would just figure this stuff out and make a new game already!

Re: How is your dynasty going

Decided to start as a defensive coordinator.
I went from Kansas to Hawaii and now my first HC job in Tulane.

I got this ATH from N.O. and put him at wide receiver. His speed is only 84, but is break tackle is 87 as a Freshman. Throw one comeback route with man coverage and he has a chance to take it to the house!
