The $ works if you do Cam+Bogi+Gallo for Ben and Paul Reed.
That's not a bad deal. Sixers would strengthen its wing and add size they need. It would give Atlanta a potential big lineup of Trae-Simmons-Hunter-Collins-Capela. Sixers would be betting on the upside of Cam and Bogi and Gallo would provide a better depth and bench scoring(though there would be overlap with Niang and Gallo).

But, I still like a Kings package better because it gives us more pieces we don't have if we could get Haliburton as well. If we couldn't get Haliburton, then that changes things. Maxey's development does make things a little more complicated. You either continue to allow him to develop or forces them to bench Curry who's been our most consistent player throughout season.

My guess is Atlanta would Throw in a 1st round pick and maybe this years rookie Johnson. Clint can’t get traded so he isn’t a option of going toward a 3rd team.

Then y’all could stretch gallos 5 million or use that in a trade this offseason which would save $.

Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline

I still can't get over the fact that this dude just not playing games out here and he's pretty much going to get his way and get moved out of Philly with like 4 years and $140 something million left on his contract. He not hurt, he just not playing cause his feelings hurt.

And it's not like he won't experience the same type of experience as in the playoffs. There will be teams that are going to put him on the line. Especially this season where you have 10-Day guys you can afford to allow them to pick up cheap fouls. I think he thinks that just gets out of Philly all his problems will be gone. This isn't the typical "I want to go to XXX or a contender", he just wants out of Philly. That's pretty much going to happen at any big market he goes too. I don't know if he values winning as opposed to the recognition and accolades. When both sides was trying to win the narrative, there was a comment that he felt the Sixers became a good team so fast that he didn't have time to develop as a normal #1 pick does. I don't he has this fully thought out. He's going to have to play in Philly on the road regardless and they will get on him even more as an opposing player.

ATM, I think he's around $11M in fines. I do believe that the NBA was behind the scenes wanting Sixers to be the bad guy and fining him. I did hear that the new team couldn't retroactively pay him the money back for the games missed. I think he's just banking on getting that money back with arbitration. With the rumors, you always hear them mention that the Sixers would want him to come back and play and not trade him. That's only makes sense if either fully bought in or because they can't get a player they want. I don't see this going past the deadline. It only goes past the deadline if Morey is dead set on getting specific star players. But what if it does, is he going to waste a prime year and get fined over $33M for getting his feelings hurt.

Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline

At this point I don’t understand why Portland doesn’t just give up and work on a Dame trade. That seems to be what Philly wants most.. Even if it’s not a Dame for Simmons straight up type of move adding Dame to the mix with all the guys teams like Sac, Indy, etc are supposedly shopping there is enough available talent, young players, and picks to go around for all teams to be happy.

Not sure if Portland and Dame both just don’t want to look like the bad guys here but I feel like a KG situation should happen. And probably happen now. Portland is a team that wants to keep its best player and wants to make the playoffs and win games, yet they are in the same position as teams like OKC and New Orleans who are basically tanking right now.

I also understand it’s hard to get All-Star players like Dame, but at the same time he’s one of those guys that really doesn’t have a deep all-around game either. A large part of his greatness is just making big shots. On a talent/skill/play style level they already have a replacement for him on the roster. Anfernee Simons is basically the same player as Dame, he’s not nearly as good at this point but all his strengths and weaknesses and the way he plays is basically the same as Dame. So I feel like if you use Dame to get better everywhere else you can afford the drop from Dame to Simons but because they are so similar not have to completely overhaul your game plan either.. it just makes sense to do it now imo. Guess we will see at the deadline.

He is loyal. It also seems that losing doesn't bother him that much, at least not enough to ask for a trade.

I get that but I’m thinking more from the Portland side not the Dame side. Like they would get more out of him now than when he’s pushing mid 30s at 50 mil and keeping him obviously does them little good at this point. But perhaps it’s really just as simple as not wanting to push the city favorite out of town since he’s been loyal to them.
