Re: Way to go Norv!!!

This thread doesn't work anymore because they are in the playoffs and won a game. Knock him all you want, but he's where he's supposed to be (regardless of how he arrived).

Re: Way to go Norv!!!

I give more credit to Rivera for setting a great defensive game plan against Peyton Manning. Good job Ron.

He gets credit for not screwing us at some point in the game. In all honesty he does seem to coach better when it counts, i.e. December and Playoffs. But he needs to figure out how to do that all season long. I don't want a coach who barley gets us to the playoffs each year with a talented team. That being said however, if he takes us to the Super Bowl and we win all bets are off.

I wish my team could win December.

The one thing I think we can all give Norv credit for is having his team playing their best football when it counts.

I'm definitely not a Norv backer... he deserves some of the criticism he gets. But much like the Colts, the Bolts started this year with a ton of good things on paper. Then Merriman went down for the year. This guy is considered an annual DPOY candidate and the heart and soul of their D which has been a huge part of the Charger success. Meanwhile Gates started the year hurt and LT dealt with a turf toe almost the entire season. I think Norv deserves a bit of credit for pulling the team together after having to make adjustments for those major issues. At the end of the day they were really 9-7 and now they won a playoff game against the hottest team in the league. He should get some credit right now.
