I like Harrison, he's a techincian, I think he's in the running for the best of his era, but with a guy like Rice there's no question where he stands.
TO and Moss are definitely up there, there's no denying that. I would just have to give the edge to Harrison. He has a ring, which neither TO or Moss do. I think Harrison was more consistent than both of them. And not to mention, how Harrison handled himself on the playing field.

And another thing that seperates Rice from all the others, aside from the obvious reasons, the man was 40 years old and still played at the top of his game...catching 92 passes for 1200+ yards. Just ridiculous.

Harrison is a great WR. I'll be kind enough to call him the 2nd greatest WR of all time for argument's sake.

Jerry Rice is the greatest football player of all time. Period.

So for "argument's sake" does that mean if you were starting a franchise you would pick JR first?

That was just their AV thing. FWIW, they did recently do a "best wr's ever" list and Hutson was 2nd.

1. Rice (9095)
2. Hutson (7335)
3. Harrison (6890)
4. Owens (6463)
5. Moss (6260)
6. Alworth (6045)
7. Largent (5755)
8. Irvin (5443)
9. Berry (5367)
10. Jimmy Smith (5352)
11. Brown (5182)
12. Warfield (5141)
13. Maynard (5061)
14. Holt (5038)
15. Lofton (4930)

I have heard some very knowledgable football people say Rice is not only the greatest WR but the greatest football player ever. I think he's pretty close.

If I were starting a franchise and could pick anyone first, I personally would start with Anthony Munoz. A pure left tackle without weakness who could dominate the run game, and protect your QB's blind side.

I'm surprised (but also glad) to see people here aren't picking Moss. Most people will make the claim that he's the greatest ever on ability, but I've never bought it. Part of being great is playing every play on every team you play for. I don't care if it was a bad situation in Oakland, that shouldn't affect your effort. You're being paid a salary for it to not affect your effort. Be a ****ing professional.

And the fact is, he's not the greatest ever on his ability alone, either. The list starts and ends with Rice.

Terrell Owens is one of the greatest physical WR specimens in the history of the NFL and you can't argue with his stats. When it's all said and done he is one of the best to ever play the game.

At a boy. Many thanks. Bush's name didn't even cross my mind.

That looks cool. Y'know, I was about to mention - again - that Moss is a quiter and shouldn't be ranked that high. Then I remembered that the reason I'm the only person re-hashing that is because the only team he completely quit on was the Raiders. *******.
