Re: AFC Champs

I was going with the Broncos til Ray Lewis announced he is going to retire. Now I am going with the Ravens because they are going to play so hard for Ray Lewis and you know Ray is going to get that team so amp up!

It would be phenomenal if the Ravens went all the way riding the emotion of playing their best for Ray Ray. And I do see the Ravens putting it down this weekend against the Colts.

However they are not a very good ball club. Especially on defense. They weren't very good with Lewis playing earlier this season. His mojo may work at home against an above average Colts team flying by the seat of their pants, but against a Broncos squad at home they would get shut down.

It's the playoffs. Teams shouldn't need extra motivation to go out there and try to win. Ray Lewis is always amping up his team, but I can't see them winning the whole thing just because he is retiring after the season.

Does dominating the Pats count as a good defense?

Too bad my belief in Peyton and the Broncos got the best of me and I changed my pick to Denver in the Playoff bracket thread.

Don't do this. Anybody can go back and find bad predictions... their just predictions. If you think his statement is wrong, use games played before he made it. The Colts D was awful during the regular season the year they ended up riding it to a SB title.
