NBA Live 15 News Post

EA Sports has just released their NBA Live 15 improved visuals trailer. They have also released the NBA Live 15 features list.

Let us know what you think!

Lights, Camera, Action
We’re doubling down on visuals with an all-new scanning and lightning technique for the most photo-realistic player models in franchise history. Add into the mix player specific body types and contextual emotional responses and you will truly feel like you’re in the action.

Real-Time Physics in the Paint
Feel the impact of real-time physics on every drive, post move and collision in the most trafficked area on the court. 100+ new animations make it possible for something unpredictable and amazing to happen on every play. Scoring has been amped up with 3x the variety of dunks, layups and signature shots as you impose your will on your opponent with physicality you can feel.

Ultra-Responsive Controls
Passing, shooting and dribbling will feel snappier the moment you pick up the sticks. Freestyle Passing takes your assist game to the next level with no looks, behind the backs, and more. An all-new shot feedback system teaches you how to successfully get buckets, measuring three key factors in real-time to determine shot quality. Enhancements to bounceTek allow you to make cuts and change momentum on a dime, giving you the ability to create space and pull off devastating skilled dribble moves on the run.

Smarter AI & Transition Game
New AI logic drives all 10 players to move with intent and purpose while displaying greater off-ball awareness, adjusting as every play develops. Add in a smooth transition game as well as real-world offensive sets and defensive schemes and you’ve got 48 minutes and 94 feet of end-to-end, dynamic gameplay.

Defense Is Fun
New defensive systems make it easier to contain your man by using just the left stick. Contextual physicality, bumps and jostles, in addition to a new shot blocking system, delivers simplicity in controls helping you make that big defensive stop when your team needs it most.

Definitely looked good in motion.

Ready to try this thing out for myself now.

This IS raw gameplay footage..EA confirmed it on twitter.

Looks much better than last year, obviously. Animations are still kind of rough though. 2K is still way ahead in that category.

I love that the defender actually has to turn and move his feet after getting crossed, instead of sliding back into position. Hopefully we've seen the end of position sliding. If the controls are as tight as they claim, it should make for fun on both sides of the ball.
YEAH MAN I seen this too and was like that's good. hopefully don't have to deal with the warping I got in the other game. Puts an emphasis on HELP D and defensive rotations!

Yea, I'm wary of that as well. This clip was too short to tell for sure; the ball may have been coming up into his hand when the contact was made (hopefully). Would be nice to see the whole clip from when Lillard got the ball to know for sure.

Wiggins, Blake, Lilliard dunks look spot on IMO. as in signature. Wiggins body movement is perf on the dunk; Griffin's off arm is his gather for dunks in real life ; Liliard turns his body sideways to dunk. Love those dunk animations. really, theyre legit for those players.

This thread makes me sad. I sure wish we had this level of competition in other sports besides Soccer. *sigh*

If there is a downer it's that KD wasn't in any of the clips(and I'm sure we know why), but Durant is one of the more unique body styles in the league want to see what they did with him.

When I say raw gameplay, I mean 5-on-5 from a camera angle we normally use. I understand this is in-engine, but I mean raw gameplay of what we would be doing with the controller, not a highlight reel trailer. I know the other company does the same, and I wait for the same gameplay footage from them too, which we got from Gamescom.

The Westbrook animation was one point. It looks good

The fact that Lillard teaches you the game is a big improvement. I hope the drills are fun.

I also like that he was able to cross almost immediately after the contact, so hopefully that means we won't get stuck in as many animations. If the controls are as tight as they claim, it should make for fun on both sides of the ball.
I wonder if that's a two man animation, or the actual movement?

The faces look good colors looked a little washed out. Animations leaps and bounds better than Live 14. Overall player models are great. Now lets see that demo.

Ok plaused it on Wiggins dunk. Well I have to say if Wiggins model is any indication Durant will be spot on a well. Wiggins model is very slight of frame.

This is so awesome... I played a ton of NBA Live 14 over this past year, and this looks NOTHING like it. I'm stoked.

Some things I like:
1. D Wade contests Lebron's jumper. Contesting jump shots was almost impossible last year.
2. Animations look much smoother. No wonky accelerations (at least in the trailer).
3. Skin texture is much improved. The "plastic" look is gone.
4. Damian's face is spot on. His dunk at the end was super accurate too.

Things I want to see more of:
1. Passing. Last year's passing game sucked (other than the ally-oops). The pass from Curry looked a little better, but I need to see it via non-trailer game play.
2. Post play. Live 14 post play (and defense) was abysmal. I hope they totally revamped it.
3. Defense. The limited on ball defense in the trailer looked good. Beverly's animations were great, I just hope it wasn't a canned two-player animation.
4. More shooting animations.

This trailer got me pumped.

I can't even lie. When I saw all the comments I was like "Here we go again! *sigh*" .....buttttt to my pleasant surprise it's almost all (WELL DESERVED) praise. Yooooo....I'm not gonna jump the gun but dare I say we have a race? If not, we at least have something to look forward to from Live now. This trailer showed swag and I couldn't be happier that we have 2 competitive basketball games on the market again. HOOP FANS REJOICE!!!!

some of the movements give me a flashback to Live 10' - The lenkyness to the players.

That is actual movement. It's pretty sick.
