Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Pretty much just do what you did to turn trades off, but in reverse.
EDIT: Also make sure you have the right profile selected if you have more than one.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

So I'm not saying that I'm going to deal Reyes to Oakland, but if they put together a package for him, what would it include? I came up with something creative lol"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Could you package Dickey and Reyes to a big payroll team like Texas? You know, if TOR is in contention, your just being greedy...you know that, right?"for love of the game" - B. ChapelComment

I'm just asking on Oakland right now. What pieces make an equal value match? Don't worry about realism. Maybe Moss + Olson + Robertson/Nunez? Think that's equal to Reyes' value?"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re-reading your post: yes, that's pretty close. Keep in mind Reyes age. 2 more years and he really starts to decline."for love of the game" - B. ChapelComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So Lowrie moves to 2nd? If TOR eats the bulk of the contract then you get Olson, Nunez and...I'm not sure how high Oakland is on Moss but for Reyes and practically no money, BB might buy into that.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am needing a little help on a trade in my Padres Franchise. I am looking at a trade centered around Andrew Cashner for Elvis Andrus. I also want to possibly snag Michael Choice in the deal.
What else needs to be included to make this even for both sides? I have some nice pitching depth, and Texas could definitely use some.
Pitching wise, I am also willing to deal: Burch Smith, Donn Roach, Keyvius Sampson, Robbie Erlin (back), Joe Wieland (maybe), but not limited to these prospects/players.
Any ideas?
---
Also, what do you think the A's would want from the Padres in exchange for Josh Reddick? Statistics are about on par with real life. Vogt has played very nicely in RF, while Reddick has been injured.Last edited by Coper3000; 07-24-2014, 08:00 PM.Comment

As far as Andrus, realism - TEX says no thank you. Value...you're going to have to add a legit prospect even though Cashner is very good. I don't think you have to go as high as Liriano but it's going to have to be a legit bat."for love of the game" - B. ChapelComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I read something the other day that was comparing Headley's trade value and Reddick's. Considering Reddick still has 2 more years of club control, his value will be higher IMO but the article said values were comparable (I.e., MLB player + mid-late teen P prospect).

Very interesting on the Reddick value compared to Headley. His team control is actually a big factor as to why I am targeting him. As far as a similar trade of Headley to Yankees, maybe someone like Jace Peterson, SS/2B could fill a nice role up the middle for Oakland?
Prospect wise, I could include someone like SP Walker Weickel (20; B POT), or Burch Smith - but he is 23. Or positional player wise, I would have no problem dealing the young Franchy Cordero - SS/3B. I am open to trading other pieces instead, as I really need a bat in the order.

As far as Cashner to the Rangers and realism involved, do you think something around Luis Sardinas+ could be worked out?Comment

I think the Rangers would be willing to give up one of Sardinas or Odor for Cashner and maybe a high C or at most a low B.

Agree with Kmoser on the TEX trade. Cashner + (again, guys you have behind the two mentioned above) and they should jump all over it. Actually, that might be a bit of an overpay but I recommend overpaying as the user. If you get who you want, make sure you feel the sting.Last edited by hampshirestags; 07-24-2014, 09:34 PM."for love of the game" - B. ChapelComment
